Quick and easy water treatment

Ammonia will kill your fish. This product also neutralizes ammonia and the pH of your water. It is a powder that can be easily dosed and added to the aquarium water. peace of mind. It works so well that I don't use it with every water change, but I do have chlorine-free spring water. If you have chlorine in your water it will also neutralize the chlorine so you can use it with every water change to protect your fish.

Hidden Problems: Aquarium Water Treatment

This product uses phosphate as a PH buffer. While it is an excellent PH buffer, it is also the main fuel for algal blooms. I have been using this product for about 4 days and have experienced heavy algae blooms. I solved the problem with the tank. However, I got serious problems with ammonia. I would have to do up to 6 water changes a day just to keep it below 4ppm. I finally found the problem with my external filter. I opened it and found a crust of dead, decomposing algae inside. After…

This works very well for my neon tetra and clown.

This works very well for my neon tetra and clown char. I usually add Seachem Prime, API Stress Zyme and API Stress Coat to tap water and let the water sit in feed buckets for a few days. I also let air bubbles run into the water. Then, after vacuuming and changing the water in the aquariums, I add a teaspoon of Seachem Neutral Regulator to a small cup of aquarium water and stir until dissolved. Then I pour it back into her tank. This is of course a complex process, but since I started it not a…

Ideal for soft water!

With every water change I have had a serious problem with die off in the aquarium. It turns out that I have very soft water that cannot effectively buffer the PH, so changing the water will cause the PH to fluctuate. I had 2 fish left in my 90 gallon tank and every time I added more some died on the next water change. Since using this for the past 6 months I have restocked up to 30 fish and only lost 1 (which appears to be due to transplant shock). Update: I've been using this on 90 gallons for

I could have ABSOLUTELY NO aquariums without this product!

I could ABSOLUTELY NOT have an aquarium where I live without this product! My tap water has a pH of 9.0 and kh is zero. This product has brought my tap water to pH 7.6 and pH 6 (using 3 cups to 75 gallons) in eight years and my pH tests to 7.6, ALWAYS. But to be clear, this will *never* lower my pH to 7.0. The more neutral I add, the higher my kh gets, but my ph stays stable at 7.6. And that's fine - most humans/fish don't need a pH of 7.0 - you just need a stable one! WATER CAN CHANGE! You'll…

Best FW 7.0 pH Regulator and Buffer

Like all Seachem products, this works very well. If you need a pH of 7.0 for a variety of FW (freshwater) fish, this is for you. What I like about it is that it also treats your water (removes chlorine and chloramines and detoxifies ammonia). So if you use this product after a water change, for example, you don't need to add your regular water conditioner as well. . Please note with this product: 1. It gradually adjusts the pH value. Any change in pH above 0.2 throughout the day can be very…

Great product when you really need it!

I am relatively new to the hobby and have been studying water parameters and chemistry for a few months now. Most experts highly recommend using the water that comes out of your faucet (and I've been trying to buy reverse osmosis water for a while and it gave me a headache!), so that's exactly how I started. (Again, this is about raising fish that will thrive in your water without having to mess with PH, KH, and GH - unless you're an expert). Having said that, I couldn't find any fish that…
