Great price, not great quality.

The pliers arrived dirty and greasy. There is a significant gap in the jaws so they don't close. The gap can affect the operation of the blades (the blades do not touch when closed).

but they proved useful and comfortable to use no matter what

At first I was upset that they didn't have a spring in the hinge to hold them open but they proved useful and comfortable to use anyway . They open very wide and are heavy enough to be used as a hammer.

  • big and bulky

Seems to be very good

Based on the many positive reviews on Revain I decided to try these pliers. When it comes to pliers I usually buy premium brands like Snap-on, but I'm not a tool snob. I've used pliers many times and I love them. Of course, only time will tell how durable and wearable they are, but for now I'm glad I made the purchase. Thank you for reading.

Good price: Pliers

I had needle nose pliers that were significantly smaller than these and lost them. When I checked the price at my local hardware store - significantly higher for a smaller pair of pliers - I decided to give them a try. I was surprised at how much larger it was than my other pliers, but not annoyed. These are good, sturdy pliers that work and are definitely good value for money.

Buy a few! You will always be useful!

Needle nose pliers are an underrated tool. We use needle nose pliers for so many things! A few in tackle boxes, a few on the boat, a few in the garage, in tool boxes, in the kitchen bin. You will always be useful! We also have an unfortunate tendency to lose things, so we like quality at a good price. We have purchased several of these Stanleys and have been pleased with the product.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Socket required

Great purchase for a set of needle grommets.

These needle nose pliers are perfect for my hand when doing electrical work. The plastic handles are thin but offer a good grip without being bulky like the thicker handles on other sets. The 8" size offers more versatility than the smaller 6" needle spout. The cost is less than a third of other high-quality pliers with huge handles. They are easy to replace if damaged through abuse. I will definitely buy them again.

Just your regular pliers at a price you can afford.

Just a decent pair of pliers, nothing special. Quality construction, tongs like these have been around for centuries. They work well, for such money it is quite normal. I bought this and two other more expensive types, also see my reviews for these. The good thing is, if you lose them, it's not too big a financial loss. They are a little heavy due to their limited capacity, just pliers and wire cutters and nothing else.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

good clipper/cutter

I use these to cut silk flowers. The grip is comfortable and doesn't slip or cause burns as I've found this to be an issue with many brands I've tried under $25 a pair. I can cut from the thinnest to the thickest wire colors with reasonable effort. I have bought and tried many different brands of these pliers/pliers and have found them to be the best value for what I use them for. I bought two pairs last year and used them to cut about 7000 wire flowers. The cutting surface is slightly worn but

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some mistakes

I was impressed by how strong they seemed, but they rust very quickly.

I was impressed with their durability. For the price I thought they might appear cheap but they feel heavy. I wouldn't use them for heavy work, but they work fine for light to medium work. Update September 2016 - I used pliers and it was covered in rust. They were stored with some other 20 year old tongs that were not rusty but after 9 months this tong was covered with rust on about 20% of the surface. I carefully removed the rust with a rust remover and applied a rust preventative, but this…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
