A must if you sit on a tree stand all day

I installed this on my Summit tree stand. I had my doubts at first but after sitting on the tree stand for over six hours it was worth the money to put it on the tree stand which makes feet so much more comfortable.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not bad

A good idea but generally a noisy product

I used it, had to return it. It needs to be covered with something else it's loud as hell when you're lugging your climber through the woods. Also, I found it gets in my way half the time depending on the distance between my chair and the platform, so overall I just don't need it. If I wanted my knees to bend more, I simply shortened the distance between the platform and the chair.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are cons

You don't know what you missed!

I'm 50 years old but still dumb enough to sit at a desk for 12 hours straight. Recently my hamstrings and back started to hurt. No, I'm not a fat old man, I'm an active Marine. The addition of a footrest allowed me to assume different positions and took the pressure off my old bones. Installation is easy and the footrest does not affect transportation, climbing or use. Buy this because you won't regret it.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some problems

Increases comfort when hunting.

After an easy install I was happy to use. When I climbed a tree for the first time, I quickly found that it interfered with climbing in the closed position. When climbing a tree, grommets prevent loud noise when opening the rest, but they must have grommets on both sides to avoid loud noise when closing. Overall a good addition to the hunting experience. Another way to switch positions while sitting in a tree all day is priceless.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Expensive

Best Investment Ever

If you're like me and like to sit in your climber for more than a few hours, you need this! After a fairly easy install, I picked it up on opening day. I planned to sit for a few hours as usual and stayed all day. This is a must for climbers. Let's straighten our knees a little. The only thing I had to get used to was putting the platform a little lower than what I was used to. This gave you the opportunity to stretch more. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Not suitable for steel platforms
Cons
  • Zero

Makes a very comfortable stand even more comfortable!

This is a VERY nice addition to your Summit Viper SD. Makes a very comfortable stand even more comfortable. I didn't really like that I had to cut a hole for the mounting screw with a self-tapping screw. For easy tightening of the screw in soft aluminum. You will need to pre-drill mounting holes in each post and then provide a nylon bolt and nut in the footrest kit. But mine is working fine so far. worth your money!

Pros
  • Quick and easy installation
Cons
  • Updates available

Footrest increases the comfort of the tree stand

Conclusion: This is a good buy and I recommend it. If this footstool didn't bang against the footstool I would give it five stars. When I'm in a tree, I really love it. But as you approach the stand and place the climbing base on the tree, that footboard will rattle loudly against your "dumb metal." I use a Velcro strap attached to the footrest to hold it securely to the climber's base until I'm ready to deploy. A word of caution: I don't recommend sitting on the footplate when getting in and…
