Description of πŸ“ TCP Global SG244 Liquid Thickness & Viscosity Measuring Cup Ford # 4 Four: Accurate Viscosimeter for Paint Measurement

The Ford # 4 cup is a portable device for quickly checking and measuring the viscosity or thickness of paint, varnish, lacquer, stains, inks, syrups, liquids and more. Cup allows you to verify coating viscosity prior to painting, so you can fully atomize the paint spray, helping you achieve a flawless finish. The Ford viscosity cup is a simple gravity device that permits the timed flow of a known volume of liquid passing through an orifice located at the bottom. To determine the viscosity of a liquid, the cup is dipped and completely filled with the substance. After lifting the cup out of the substance the user measures the time until the liquid streaming out of it breaks up, this is the corresponding "efflux time".

Kneaded my zinsser to spray strength

Viscosity measurement really made it clear what I did wrong. Once I had enough liquid paint to get out of the hopper I was able to fine tune a nice pattern.

Pros
  • Many positive emotions

I hate products that cut the simplest of corners.

I would pay an extra dollar for the damn guide or manual. You don't have to skimp on every little thing. You'll have to look and experiment if you want to use this thing.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Good overall but...

Expensive but functional

I use this to thin the paint for my airbrush. I wonder if it's a bit big - if they come in different sizes, but it works well enough. It was a little pricey at $10, although I could get it from Homeright for $2.99. I should have researched beforehand.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Quick Guide

Works but relatively expensive

I can't fault this little plastic funnel device in terms of functionality. As long as it's the right size, it will work properly. But why aren't they available for less than a dollar? The plastic container lid on my honey container is much more difficult. It has a flip-top lid and an anti-drip hole. And it was free along with honey.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Compatibility

As described, arrived quickly with no damage. I use a viscosity cup when making calming/refractive/sensory baby bottles. Constant viscosity is required for the time aspect of the time-out/calming bottle. The 7 second empty time in this mug is ideal for the glitter to settle to the bottom of the bottle and show the child that 5 minutes have passed.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Doubtful

Necessary for a high-quality result. No more guesswork!

Purchased for use with HVLP gun. It's useful to be able to compare the consistency you're spraying. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but I don't care. I use it to compare things I spray with a gun. Some guns can spray better at certain times to get the liquid I'm spraying. to put it in mason's jars. I mix everything in glasses. I think I trimmed the edge with a razor blade and then sanded it smooth.

Pros
  • Excellent all round performance
Cons
  • Protection
