Excellent caps for boats and sailing

Excellent wheel caps. Ease of installation. Just grab a 2x4 piece of wood to keep them straight and hammer them in. They are perfect for my tie down knots.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Some little things

Works but rusts for sport

They do the job of keeping dust and water off my trailer hubs, but they all rusted within a few months. I put them on my saltwater boat trailer and only dunked it a couple of times before they got rusty. It doesn't seem to affect their usability, just their aesthetics.

Best matched to Boating & Sailing Tee

These dust caps are perfect for my trailer. If anything they were a bit tight and I first wondered if I could put them on without bending the caps. They tapped a little around the perimeter with a rubber mallet and moved on. They will also not fall under any circumstances. Worth the money for this product!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Fallen and fallen!

As others have said it was a bit difficult to start but then got SOLID. I didn't think they would ever back down. But the back roads of Tennessee were testing them, and they were both missing by the time I got to my destination. Very disappointed! Luckily I packed the dust covers that came with my hub kits and it saved the trip.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No machine

which would be nice to let you know there's a lot of lube in there.

I removed the dust cover from my 1997 Shoreland'r, the bearings at our local dealers were too big for it. They fit perfectly, very snug but not too difficult to put on. If you need a dust cover and they are the right size, they should help. I've noticed that other commenters have criticized the rubber cap with the metal stud, I don't see how that could be a problem. Their only downside is the lack of a Zerk fitting, which would be nice knowing there's a lot of grease in there.

Great product and value for sport

Exactly what I needed at an affordable price. They come in pairs and are just a dust cap with a rubber cap that gives you access to your trailer's spindle oiler (it's not one of those caps that has an oiler attached). It's a tight and secure fit so I had to apply decent force with a hammer, but I also used a 2x4 piece of wood between the cap and the hammer to avoid damaging the cap and hit it from all sides. at the same time, so he went straight. They are definitely tighter than my previous…

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Protects bearings in salt water

Just installed a new bearing and hubs on my boat trailer. On the way home I lost one of the Super Lube caps exposing the bearing and grease. Went to good old Revain and found a replacement. Received and installed on Prime within two days. It took a little effort to tap them - recommend taking a 2 x 4 piece by placing it on top and tapping it with a large hammer. I've done 1/2 dozen boat trips and the replacement seems to be staying fine. No signs of rust after salt water immersion. I always…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other products
