Works fantastic and flexible

Bought to connect PoE cameras and run ethernet in a house with a converted garage in our manufacturing area. They also have a home office with 2 workstations to create videos for our company which are hosted on our website and YouTube. If you're looking at a 4k video theater room with 4 ports in that room and 4 ports per MB, there's a lot of data going through. This is because Apple 4k TVs, Fire TVs, and DirectV can be overkill with true smart TVs, but the more hardware the better. I access the

Good 1000Mbps switch for home use

I replaced an old Linksys 100Mbps switch with this one and it works at 1000Mbps. I replaced an outdated Linksys due to a problem sending lots of HD video over the network. I connected 10 devices and found no network problems. It's also very quiet, you don't know it's working until you see a light on it. I also have a 1000Mbps Netgear on this switch for more ports elsewhere in my house and have never had a problem. I've never tested Spanning Tree, but hey, I know what I'm doing. I knew it was an

Excellent performance, cheap, reliable.

I've installed several of these with 16 or 24 ports and they've always been great in performance and reliability. They offer the best value for money among all the popular brands. Also used 5-port TP-LINK for small workgroup switches, never had a problem with any of them. I just installed one of their routers last week and I suspect we'll be using that in the future (great signal/quick setup). Quality gear for small businesses.

  • Expensive but decent

  • I don't like it, it's ok

Good unmanaged switch GB

Another TP-Link product that does what the others do. So far, it has been transferring gigabytes of traffic through the new segment with no problem. The device runs cool and quiet (no fan or anything), and the light is bright enough to be easy to read but dim enough not to cause problems or waste power. I like the rack mount ears - they double as a wall mount by rotating the screw hole 90 degrees. Metal body, solid construction, energy efficiency and value for money. Very good. I'll probably…

TP-Link Support/Warranty is a joke

Bought a TL-SG1024D 24-port gigabit switch to replace a small NetGear 8-port gigabit switch. After I replaced the old switch with a new one, I started getting random connection errors. After running network surveys, I found that the switch was advertising the MAC address. Since there are no other TP-Link devices on my network, I was sure the MAC address came from the switch. Just to be sure, I replaced the TP-Link switch with an old NetGear switch and Viola, the problem was gone. I reported…

Good performance. Wall Mount - Mickey Mouse.

Switch works fine. For some reason they didn't drill the usual keyhole-shaped holes in the bottom of the device, so it's not that easy to mount it on the wall. The only way to mount it on the wall is to rotate the stand tabs 90 degrees (so the flat part that usually attaches to the stand is flush with the wall). There are holes for this very purpose, but the mesh effect looks terrible - it's like sticky tape on the wall - and takes up more space than it needs to. I'd rather have the keyholes in

A world of difference to my home network

This switch was easy to install and proved to be a simple plug and play. This made a huge difference as I had all the network ports I needed, as well as room to grow and the ability to swap gigabit data between my devices that support it and those that don't run on high-speed ethernet, and the switch has LEDs on the Front so you know what works at what speeds. Extremely easy to use and install. If, like me, you've never used the switch but need additional network connections, for simplicity…

Reliable, easy and fast

This was an update for an old 8 port gigabit router that died so I didn't really want a performance boost with it but it's been 60 days and there were problems free and as expected, very easy to set up. Connect the ethernet cables, run it and you're done. There's no control page for it, but it does what it's supposed to, so it really is "set and forget". It is connected to an uninterruptible backup power supply and has not been powered off or restarted since initial installation. I have about…

Literally plug n play. No fan noise. Great device!

I liked this switch so much I bought two of them. I upgraded from an old 100Mb switch. Immediately, all my devices that support 1GB transfer speeds connect to the network at a faster speed. There is an indicator light for each port so you know what speed the switch has detected. So old 100MB devices work just fine. My old switches had fans. This device is silent. no noise The case feels cool, there is no sign of heating. TP-Link is a great product. The packaging was ideal. box in a box. And…
