I bought a used car that only had 1 flip key. I used this cable to program two additional flip key/transponders on my 2012 Mazda 3 using the PAT service module on Forscan (Windows). Sometimes you buy things and they just don't work at first. It happened here. I bought this USB OBD link to do some Forscan programming on my 2018 Raptor and the first one I bought didn't read the mid speed modules. It took me a while to figure it out, which annoyed me a little. But sometimes you just get a bad pad so I sent it back for free and ordered a second one. Unfortunately this was an item that I bought and didn't try until after the return period had expired. I ran Windows in Bootcamp on my Mac, installed BBFly's driver and Forscan's software. My Mac didn't turn on the device because it said it needed more power to run. I felt the fork and it got very hot. I think he shorted out right away. Luckily I didn't damage my truck.
