This kit is for battery connection. The longest cable is 5 feet long and connects to the battery. I wanted to install it in my RV and have a cord long enough to move the panels outside in search of sun. I mounted the controller in the trailer over the battery and connected it with the battery cable that came with it, but I cut the connector off and put ring terminals on the ends to permanently connect it to the battery. Panel. I use them in series to charge a 24v battery in my RV via an MPPT charge controller. Cons: Nothing really, although I'm concerned about durability. The flexible panels are a bit fragile and you have to be careful not to break them or slip around corners. Several wires go through a hole in the back of the nylon case. Doesn't inspire confidence.
