Not too big. in Tools & Equipment

You get what you paid for - clamp rod threads broke after 2 flares, 3/16" flare hole didn't hold 3/16" brake line so only used the next smaller one and leave deep traces of thread on the brake lines. I do not recommend.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Poorly Thoughtful

Pretty cheaply made

The tool works but pretty cheap. The body of the tool will not hold the brake line tight enough unless you are holding the tool in a vise or tightening the wing nuts with pliers. Otherwise the brake line will slip when screwing in the cone tool.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

This is a defective tool. Waste of money

This tool was not handled correctly. The machine rings in the holes were partially smooth, which caused the brake line to slip, making it impossible to expand the tube. DO NOT waste your money on this tool! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Minor problems

The groove on the dies is paint only not the original

Decent set but the dies have no groove around the pin resulting in a small and imperfect flare. I had another set that didn't have any stamps and I thought this complete set would be a good choice, but ended up going to a car shop and renting one. There are scratches on the stamps and I cannot return the set now, sorry for the purchase.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Unusable features

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BUY

If there were negative stars it would be that which would get 15 negative points! The dimensions of the holes milled in the bars are large, which does not allow pinching (all 6 sizes were WRONG). Makes double flaring in one step. Creates a serious stress on the pipe itself and creates a bad socket. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. NOT true quality. Cannot return due to damage, just try to unpack. $20 down the drain and will NEVER come from any other Revain automotive tool.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • no instructions

Generally good, into brake tools

It worked for this job. However the flare penetrating the lines left a lot to be desired, the 1/4 was sloppy inside the line, it took a few tries for the double flare to work properly as it kept trying to close more on one side flicker. not evenly around. I also had to use a wrench to tighten the wing nuts to keep the cord from slipping into the tool when flaring. At the end of the day I replaced the brake line and made double expanders. enough, although for everyday professional use I'd…

  • Great for me

PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIAN SAYS AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I have been a professional BMW and Mercedes technician for over 10 years and have done many hundreds of flashes and I can say with authority that this is a horrible and DANGEROUS product. It doesn't do flares right, it's not the item shown in the pictures and it can kill someone using those horrible bubble flares on a street vehicle! I only bought it because I wasn't in the store and needed to fix the line and it was prime shipping one day. Spend money to get quality, even if it's just one…
