My review about the WIREX EUR VISA card.
Today i want to tell you something about the Wirex EUR VISA card.
I was searching for a good crypto credit card for a long time, so i decided to test the WIREX card.
I wanted to have a VISA card, because it has the best acceptance. WIREX EUR is using VISA as provider, thats the first advantage of this card.
Second pro criteria is the cashback system, i really like to get a discount on my purchases.
I don't use credit cards to withdraw money on ATMs very often, so the withdrawal limit isn't very important to me. But i think 250$/day is fine for most of the people.
Unfortunatly there more cons than pros for my personal usecase:
I really don't like monthly maintenance fees, because i only want to pay for a credit card service when i use it. If i don't need my card for several months, i don't want to pay money for it.
Second big disadvantage is the fact that you can't pay directly with crypto. You need to convert your crypto into fiat manually if you want to purchase something with it. That was the reason why i decided to complain my card.
Last disadvantage: In the year 2020 i want full control of my credit card and my costs via app. WIREX doesn't offer the services via app i would like to have.
I searched for alternatives and i think i found competitors which offer better crypto credit cards. Expect more credit card reviews in the near future :)
Pros
- Cashback System.
- Limits are okay for me. 250$/day on ATM.
- You can fund your card with SEPA or WIRE. You can also deposit BTC to fund you card.
- VISA has a great acceptance.
Cons
- I really need a better managment via app.
- If you want to pay with crypto, you need to convert it to FIAT first.
- Monthly maintenance fee.
