Too thin - doesn't hold screen in place

It was too thin for my screen and I won't rate it that low for going the wrong size, but consider something thicker for a traditional one windows considered screens . I'm not even sure what it's for and it technically held my screens in place slightly so I could put them back in the window, but with enough force the screen just popped out. The actual material they used was fine - no issues with it tearing but I just have to order a thicker size.

Good lot - had many replacement/repair screens

WARNING - it was too small for my windows. I wish there was an easier way to determine what size you need. Does anyone have a spline gauge? It would be cool. I have reordered for the next size up (.140). Since I also ordered a "screen kit" including .154" slots (I think) but it was too big, I think it will work. work (a little tight, but it also compresses the screen - which is good.

Easy Installation Hardware

This is the first screen I've had to fix. I just measured channel 1/8 and converted to decimal. There are online converters to help you if needed. I used a small flathead screwdriver with the edge of an adjustment wrench instead of buying a flathead tool. It might have been easier, but I made it. Be careful when tightening the screen to avoid bending the bezel. I ruined the first one that left a gap, so I folded it back in and tested it, laying each side of the finished screen on a workbench to

Now I'm going to x-ray my whole house again!

I used this slot in combination with a type of display called Clear Advantage because it was the manufacturer's recommended size (0.140 inch). This size was a little tight in the channel of my window frames and might have been too big had I used a thicker screen fabric. But once I got the hang of it, it was very easy to install. I even fixed the screen door and found this spline size to actually be perfect for the channel in the door frame. Not sure about durability but it has worked great for…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring package

I was a bit concerned about the size/quality of the material as most of the comments stated that the material is thinner than the original windows which is correct and visible from the window. I captured the image with the spline in place, but overall it worked fine for me. It's durable yet flexible to the touch, attaches easily and holds the screen as it should. It was packaged in a plastic bag as shown in the picture and was a one piece piece to work with. If you have standard residential…

I really didn't need it. But good just in case

I would give it 5 stars if I really needed it. But since I didn't, I downgraded it to 3 stars. I found that I can reuse a spline that was already on screen. I just pulled it out carefully trying not to break it and was able to just use what I have. However, I am keeping it in case I need it in the future. I'm thankful I have it because if I needed it and it didn't, I definitely wouldn't want to be stopped over an unfinished project. The slot is essential to attaching the screen to the frame and
