fantastic perfect fit

Great! This is a replacement for my Nismo air intake, I originally used the Kn brand but I had problems with this brand. I bought this and it took me 2 minutes to install right away. Quality and installation - Class A +.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Expandable

Quality filter as a spare

I bought this to replace the filter on my Neuspeed P-Flo for my '09 GTI. There was a small but noticeable difference in performance when I threw out the dirty old filter and screwed on the new one. Removing the old filter and installing it took no more than two minutes (you only need a flat head screwdriver). Already driven 1500 km, so far no complaints.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Great filter. Don't waste your money on oiled filters.

I put this on my short K&N intake manifold that is on my 2005 Honda Accord because I do NOT like the K&N oil filter that came with the intake manifold. So far it's been incredible. The Typhoon intake filter actually made me lose some torque at low rpm. I think more air isn't necessarily better if your engine can't handle it. It was the perfect combination of tone and torque response at low frequencies.

Before installing, check the inside of the filter

Quality air filter media and mesh. I was disappointed when I looked in the filter and found rubber shavings. The whole purpose of the filter is to keep debris out of the turbocharger, engine, etc. A photo shows the inside of the filter/coupling. The area inside the case appears to show machining marks from the manufacturing process and the cutting was rough, apparently resulting in rubber shavings. The other photo shows a larger loose piece that was pressing against the filter's end cap when I…

The setup seems like crap, but the great filter

I use this with the Conforti air intake on my e36. The ITG filter that came with the air intake was destroyed and I wouldn't trust it anyway. I've heard amazing things about Dryflow and had to try it. I'm impressed with the filter, I'll probably stick with it again. I'm not sure where the measurement went wrong, but somewhere along the line I either made a mistake or something was wrong, but this filter could not be connected to my pipe, this filter's ID was too small. Luckily a hot knife and a

Great air filter but it didn't filter my CAI

The product had better durability but is a bit more expensive than my Neuspeed. I have a VW Neuspeed intake and the filter is very dirty. I figured I'd just skip the cleaning and buy the AEM I've used on cars in the past. I measured my air filter and the measurements were similar (not exact). This is where my problem came in: the AEM filter was half an inch too long for the disassembled CAI box for my car. I couldn't install it so unfortunately I had to send it back. another K&N filter on…

Breathed some life into my 2008 Altima!

A few years ago I installed an AEM cold air intake on my 2008 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL. This was also a dryflow filter (albeit grey). Since you have to wait until it's completely dry before using it again after cleaning (with good reason, of course), this made the cleaning process a bit cumbersome. So I wanted to grab another filter to use while I clean the other one. I was a bit skeptical because the AEM Dryflow filter that came with the air intake was gray and this one seemed red (not sure if it…

great replacement for Fujita F5-300S

I was recently informed that Fujita has ceased operations of many high performance parts stores. and I needed a dry air filter for my CA-2707M. After relentlessly searching other auto parts chains and retail chains, the best comparison filters were oil filters. Unfortunately, after reading many forums, oil filters often clogged MAF sensors for 06-12 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. After carefully measuring the standard Fujita FS-300S camera, I found the AEM 21-203DK to be a perfect fit. The length of…

Perfect fit for G35 "Nismo " 2004 CAI

I ordered this to replace the oil filter on my Nismo CAI (actually we all know the truth now: it's a rebranded AEM!) for my 2004 G35 coupe to switch. . While the AEM website has a list of all their filters, it's a HUGE list with some subtle differences, and their support wasn't very responsive when I asked to confirm the correct part number for this particular application. If you want to be sure like me: This is perfect! I was happy to switch to Dry Flow as it's easier to clean, is standard on…
