Inference strategy exercise

Students ask to play it! I think it's a good warm-up to focus on the "inference" comprehension strategy. You should use the background information and hints you have read to get the word out. Be careful because once you start playing it's hard to stop.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • There are problems

My students love this game

My students love this game! I played it with students in grades 4-10 at the end of a speech and language class and they had a great time. Some words may be difficult, but some words they learn right away. This game is a great way to explore different vocabulary while having fun! Plus, the travel size is perfect for transporting from school to school, and a metal tin holds up much better than a cardboard box.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automation

Great game and learning!

Love this game! We didn't pay much attention to the rules, so I can't talk about the difficulty of playing correctly! Part of the map has lighter ones that I use for children. The other side has harder ones that they use on me. Nice metal case for traveling and easy storage of all cards. Great for expanding kids' vocabulary and keeping us seniors busy. It would also be great for older people to keep their brains active and prevent dementia. My girls ages 9-14 love it.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Laughed and thought a lot!

At first it was a bit difficult for the children to guess the answers in front of the adults. My children are teenagers. But as soon as they had an idea, they got answers faster than their father. We used them to keep our kids entertained during a spring field trip that lasted 8 hours. It really helped pass the time! They even asked to play the game again when we made shorter trips that lasted only 1 hour since we live about 1 hour from any big city where we shop. If you want to keep the kidsโ€ฆ

Great game for those extra minutes at the end of the lesson

At the end of an English or History lesson, we often have a few minutes left before the lesson is over. This is a great game to grab everyone's attention while keeping their minds busy and making them think. We're playing "Blurt Baseball": Ask the first student to stand behind the second student's chair - both are "UP". Read the question and give them 10 seconds to answer. If one of them has the correct answer, they move to the next student chair and then "UP" for the next question. However, if
