We have replaced all the obsolete brass hinges and doorknobs throughout the house. It was the last thing to do. I could only find lockers at a local big store. But I just wanted a simpler, cleaner, non-blocking one. It was exactly what I wanted.

We were renovating the bathroom and found a door that had just been completed when dismantling the bathroom. We decided to repurpose it as a door for a new renovation closet. It was nice to find this handle to match the color of our faucet and other fixtures. The price was right and installation was fairly easy.

It is definitely made in China, not in the USA. Not good quality. One has a big gap at the bottom and the other won't align. They also take pride in the finish of the door. Given the price and hassle, I just installed them and moved on. They can be exchanged on the go. "Made in USA" in the description was suspect, but I ordered based on that. Buyer Warning.

Yes, the door lock I used earlier was able to lock me in. Luckily I had a metal scraper in the bathroom which I used to damage the offending lock enough to allow me to get in and unlock it. Saved me from having to kick the door. With this great new non-locking door knob, I don't have to worry about that anymore.

The product was comparable in quality to the brass parts I replaced. The fit was as good as you would expect when changing gear. However, the supplied wood screws used to attach the panel were not the right size for the holes previously drilled. The screws are 6-7/16", which would be fine for a fresh install. I had to purchase #6-3/4 inch button head screws to complete the installation. For this reason I only gave 4 stars.

Our home was built in the 1950's and has a front door that originally had a latch. The deadbolt itself has never worked so well, and we never felt the need to lock this door. This replacement handle was very easy to install, was a perfect size and the twist handle comes in handy when one of the users pushes the door too far into the wall. My only recommendation to the manufacturer is, if possible, to make the finger rest a little deeper on each side.

Some bag door handles can be locked. But this one can't. And that's not entirely a disadvantage either. The lock is just an added complication that is completely unnecessary. Unlike a swing door, a sliding door cannot close by itself. And never accidentally closed. So if it's closed, then someone closed it on purpose. This pen is very durable and looks very good. It fits perfectly where the old pen used to be. I have two problems: first, the screw that comes with the handle is quite short, and our door is very heavy. The screw had to go into a pre-drilled hole from the last handle so it didn't have much wood to catch on and I felt it wasn't going to last long.
