Functional and stylish

I will never regret the purchase after my first off-road ride in a cruiser after installation. The installation was not only very easy (20-30 minutes), it also paid for itself. To give a little background, I'm not the type to buy something and not use it for its intended purpose. That being said, I drive my FJ off-road as much as possible. As I walked through the hilly Texan pine forests, I noticed that those branches and rocks were right on light level! I didn't want to spend money on new…

Looks good, very strong, but to install PITA.

Very strong. Look closely at the truck. Installation was agonizing; The manual doesn't mention the third screw holding the taillights. There are some tips online, but it's easiest to partially remove the FJ's back panel rather than trying to work through the access ports. The rear brackets mount directly to the vehicle (requires drilling on the driver's side, locking bolts are used on the passenger's side). to which the rear door is attached. Warning, these are large, well-tightened bolts that…

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

ATTENTION: The taillights do NOT have to be removed for installation! I installed them within an hour. You will need a #40 torx bit (a good one so you don't cut the latch bolts - I bought it from Ace Hardware) and a 1/8 or #33 bit nut to remove the tail light covers. GOOD NEWS! DO NOT REMOVE THE TAILLIGHTS! Take a small flathead screwdriver and apply a layer of tape or tape to the blade so you don't scratch the paint. VERY CAREFULLY pry the front of the taillight away from the vehicle body and…

Don't be afraid to drill.

At first I was put off by these products because you have to drill. Don't worry about that. This is very easy. Installed in less than 90 minutes. Take the extra time and unscrew all the paste on either side of the cargo bay to get to the 3 nuts holding the rear lenses in place. Be careful not to drop the nuts because. You won't find them later. When I turned them on, I didn't have a brake light on the passenger side, so I still had to go to the outside light receiver. This got me moving all of…

  • So-so
