Very comfortable!: shoes

It's hard for my feet to find comfortable shoes - but Brooks Caldera 4 fits like a glove. I am very happy with the purchase.

  • you could choose a newer model

Buy for trail running

Perfect fit. Super comfortable. Hopefully they last a long time, I've only had them for about a week and have run about 20 miles in them.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Contact seller

Width Revealed: Chassis

Before I bought this item I asked about the width. I have been told several times that they are broad but of no real value. Now that I have received the shoes in size 11, I can report that the sizing is D, normal, and not EE as I was hoping. It seems odd that the width wasn't part of the description here. That's the main thing that worries me more than the color.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Repair

Still a great shoe but I liked the previous version better

So version 3 had really smooth solid eyelets for the upper 2 which made them easy to tighten and I had no problem fitting them to solve. This version got rid of those that make tightening and loosening difficult when you flip the top over to get a lock. Also they changed the traction of the outsole which is better for traction but more uncomfortable on the road and I think it will wear out quicker.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • I won't say anything

What has changed? Running

I've been wearing a pair of Caldera 2 and Caldera 3 for the last 2 years. The new Caldera 4 left shoe hurts! After a 75 meter hike hoping they would break through I gave up. So disappointed! I was excited to try the new outsole - looks more durable. But the inside of my left foot rubs, the base of my thumb creaks. This summer I wanted to wear them on a hike in New Mexico. I need to go to my local running store and try something different. The Calderas were the only shoes that really fit. So…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not bad
