This item was used to install a DVR. It took me 10 minutes. Quick and easy cable set. I just bought another one to install another dash cam in my other car.

This kit was exactly what I needed for the professional installation of the DVR. I would recommend it to anyone doing it themselves and to all installation professionals.

You will need a crimping tool to complete the installation. The flat plug did not fit my Ford Explorer's fuse box but a standard mini plug could be used - just had to buy another fuse for the accessory which I replaced with an adaptor. Once you've grounded and crimped it works like a charm.

After 2 "mistakes" I bought a DVR for my adult daughter. Car stereo installers charged $240 per install. So I watched the installation video and ordered this kit to complete the installation myself. The kit included everything you need to connect the DVR to the car's network, so the camera now turns on as soon as the car starts. 2 fuses in line with the hot side ensure that both the dash cam and the car system will not "turn off each other".
