perfect fit and functionality

is better than before! The product has a thicker base, eliminating the need to use the case on the original product. The bushing on the factory bolts wears out over time. They fix this problem. Doors and tailgate are closed and hold tight. no more rattling doors. I used it on my '99 2 door speedo on the driver, passenger and tailgate. would recommend

Dorman quality at a great price

I've been using them for a few weeks now, no problems. Price. A NOTICE. You can usually pry the pad away from the gasket near the screw location and put your finger behind the screw plate to hold it in place. Do not worry. A brilliant new striker. on parts

Purchased after replacing the doors on my 1992 Chevrolet Silverado. I wanted the new strikers to help open and close the doors properly. They go out the same way as the old ones. The only difference is that these new strikers don't use a torx bit like the originals. Not a big deal since you don't have to over tighten them anyway. Keep in mind. You will need access to the nut located on the back of the door frame. I have an extended cabin so getting there was easy. Tahoe/Suburban/Single Cabs…

Good replacement

This is a quality replacement door lock bolt and overall a good buy. I used them on a '94 Chevy pickup. Replacing them is not easy, but not too difficult. This requires access to the inside of the door frame as the threaded plate is not spot welded on the inside. At least not in my car. I removed my storage bags at each end of the rear seat (extended cab) for access. Also, I had to remove the old bolts with pliers as the bolts are not hardened and the hex head ripped out. Tighten gently to…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other lock picks

Door rattle problem

Earned 4 stars because the hex was 1) a bit flat and 2) soft (no heat treatment). When attempting to apply torque, the metal in the hex head of the screw began to separate. The original hitter (1999 Chevy Suburban) used Torx 25 and I would prefer this replacement to require the same tool. However, the striker solved most of my door rattle issues. Remember that the threaded plate inside the door jamb CANNOT be WELDED or permanently attached to the door frame if you need to replace the striker…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibrations
Cons
  • No performance
