Purchased after replacing the doors on my 1992 Chevrolet Silverado. I wanted the new strikers to help open and close the doors properly. They go out the same way as the old ones. This is a quality replacement door lock bolt and overall a good buy. I used them on a '94 Chevy pickup. Replacing them is not easy, but not too difficult. This requires access to the inside of the door frame as the threaded plate is not spot welded on the inside. At least not in my car. Earned 4 stars because the hex was 1) a bit flat and 2) soft (no heat treatment). When attempting to apply torque, the metal in the hex head of the screw began to separate. The original hitter (1999 Chevy Suburban) used Torx 25 and I would prefer this replacement to require the same tool. However, the striker solved most of my door rattle issues.
