Description of Speed-Adjustable Reamer by Drill America

High-speed steel tools are good for most general purpose applications, offering a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Black oxide treatment adds lubricity and creates small pockets on the surface of the tool that act to hold coolant near the cutting edge. Round shank with square end. Straight flute tools allow chips to collect in the flutes as they cut and are well suited for most applications in shallow cuts. Right-hand cut tools have a cutting action that engages when they are run in a clockwise direction.

Efficient Reaming Tool for Industrial Use

My analysis of this reaming tool showed that it's a great addition to my industrial and scientific cutting tools. The speed adjustable feature makes it versatile and efficient for multiple applications. The reamer is made of high-quality materials that ensure durability and precision. The only downside is that it's a bit on the expensive side, but the investment is worth it for its exceptional performance.

Pros
  • Efficient and versatile reaming tool for industrial and scientific applications
Cons
  • The price is a bit high

It works well and did the job. There are no instructions in the kit but once you decide to adjust it everything works fine and I was able to adjust the new bushings with no problem.

Pros
  • HSS tools work well for most general purpose applications and offer a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance
Cons
  • Not bad but...

A: 15/32 " - 17/32 " nut was too thin

Item seemed to work well, but after one pass over .500 hole expansion to about .520, the adjustment nut cracked when I pushed on it. The wall thickness must not be more than 0.010! Unfortunately, I think many of these articles might have a similar problem. Use them as thin precision tools and they can still break. In addition, they appear to be well designed and designed to perform well. I want them to work as well as they are rated. I expect the replacement to be no better, but I have no…

Pros
  • Straight flute tools allow chips to accumulate in the flutes when cutting and is good for most flat cut applications
Cons
  • Expensive
