Does exactly what it's supposed to do

My old gas cap was worn out and the strap broke. It was annoying so I ordered this replacement. That works great. What else can be said about the gas cap?

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not sure

I got my old car back.

Man. The confidence you get when you have a gas cap that will NOT fall to the ground after you unscrew it is amazing. My gas station game has increased 10x thanks to my no-look screwing.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some errors

Best for storing gas in gas caps

Replaces the old one. The car has 300,000 miles... I think it's time to break the gas cap. It was replaced flawlessly. I'll let you know in another 300,000...2037 how this one performs when my daughter gives the Mazda to her daughter.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Appearance

Fits perfectly with OEM: replacement parts

Fits perfectly on my 2005 Mazda 3 5 door. The OEM unit has finally breathed its last and the handle broke when trying to remove it to refuel. This one is slightly different in the shape of the handle and the text on the handle, but it fits perfectly.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Cord shorter than other parts

The original cover detached from a small cable. I .

The original connector came loose from a small cable. I haven't lost it in 5 years! Finally, one day, I left it on the roof of the car on the street. I didn't realize he was gone for a week. I bought this guy and now I have no chance to forget the cap!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Factory Item - $20 Saved vs. Dealer Cost

Saved $20 vs. Dealer Cost! Exact factory item as described. Came in original packaging. Fits directly to our 2008 Mazda 5. Today while driving the check engine light went out. Make sure it was a code fix for an evaporator leak. Would have been rated 5 stars but story codes haven't been read yet.

Pros
  • Perfect for Outdoor Activities
Cons
  • Negative Included

Fixed my engine light bulb

exactly. I've been chasing a check engine light with code p0441 for 7 months. This fixed it. Only after spending the money on a cheap gas cap and some blow off valves. All the time there was a gas cap. The lesson is, if you get an EVAP code, just buy the OEM products. I wanted to buy a charcoal canister thinking it was broken but it was just a gas cap.

Pros
  • matches
Cons
  • band

Fur. it works but may not stay on

The gas cap should be easy to install but after only 2 days the pin holding it to the car came loose from the gas cap. From such an overpriced original part I was expecting something that would work as well as the ORIGINAL, which I don't believe. I think this is a fake sold by Mazda as a genuine part.

Pros
  • best quality
Cons
  • dull packaging

Identical to the original

This was the advertised gas cap. I had to replace the original with a special AutoZone. It didn't quite fit and I got a CEL. I deleted the codes and ordered this one. Time will tell if the CEL is due to an ill-fitting AutoZone cap, but I suspect a real gas cap will fix the problem. It's nearly identical to the original in almost every way, right down to the part numbers printed on the inside of the lid.

Pros
  • This is not a spare
Cons
  • Some minor issues

No more check engine light, woo!

I wish I had bought this sooner! The Check Engine light came on intermittently for several months and I suspected it was the gas cap. I put off buying because the cable is still strong on the old one and I wanted to find a way to remove it and get a cheaper filler neck without a cable. Never found a way so I bit the bullet and bought this one which arrived quickly (Prime). Took the old filler cap off (easy with no tools and no broken wires, still working on getting it off the cap lol) and…

Pros
  • OEM
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price
