Image not correct

Ordered as a backup if I am repairing my tool box and plan to weld it on. Need some sanding as they have turned black. They seem durable so I'll update them later when I use them.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Tape

NOT black painted stainless steel.

Stainless steel shown. The brackets I received were painted black but they don't appear on the boat engine hatch cover so it doesn't matter. I would give 5 stars if they matched the picture.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Security

Remember that for gas shocks that have a stronger.

Note that these mounts will flex on higher tension gas springs, say 50 pounds or more. They're thin steel, honestly they're a little more expensive than they are.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

The springs work well, the only problem I have is the gas.

The spring mounts work fine, the only problem I have is the gas spring pushes against the ball and wants to fold the mount over so the mount screws are tight. Mine is mounted on plywood and I'm having trouble getting screws out of the wood. Just make sure your screws and pad are very strong.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I will add later

Worked on a case. Too expensive for what they are.

Worked for installing some Suspa luggage racks to an RV window. The holes were not the same size as the original mounts, so some widening of the holes was required. They seem cheap to me because the ball is secured by breaking the back of the pin so it's wider than the hole. It seems that with time or heavy pressure it can crack or come loose. The fasteners this replaced were much better designed as the back of the pin was a circular area noticeably larger than the diameter of the hole. Also…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Updates available

The gas spring mount brings meaning and joy to your life.

Look at this thing. Basically it's a piece of metal with three holes and a ball attached to one side. For anyone wanting to add a gas spring to something, this beast is a must have. The beauty is that you can install it however your heart desires. Screws, rivets, heck you can even use nails if you bend the sharp end. Once these things of radiant beauty are installed and you attach a gas spring to them, they can operate that gas spring as they were created. beauty I tell you. Sometimes I just…

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are nuances
