Great competition for birddogs

Love these shorts. They are VERY similar to Birddogs or Lulu Lemon Shorts. I have both Birddogs and Freeballers, Birddogs are slightly better (softer, better stitched) BUT Freeballers are $30 and Birddogs are $70. The pocket layout of these shorts is awesome. The built in liner is very soft and the tension is just right. I said they might work a little. Most shirts are medium, but these are definitely large, maybe XL. But free returns and 2 day shipping make for a great pair of shorts.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good, but. - Training & Fitness

The length, cut and material of these shorts are amazing. I'm 5'10, about 200 pounds and tall fits me. It says in the title and description but I wasn't really expecting the liner. and still on the fence with them. With gym shorts I tend to wear them a few times before washing, of course with the lining in this piece they can get a little weird after wearing them once so that doesn't work. Also these are great shorts, they are really good for cycling, spinning or whatever you use the shorts…

  • One year trial

Fake alternative to Birddog

This is definitely a Birddog rip-off. They have an inferior material, an unusually large belt around the waist and an unusual fit. A good side note is that they all have the same bags that they copied from the Birddogs and it's a good thing they didn't skimp. I could live with the inferior material for the price, but the fit is disappointing. The waist fits Birddogs, as does the leg opening, but they are oddly narrow in the hip/crotch/thigh area. It doesn't seem to make any sense. I bought…

Close but not quite Birddogs

I bought this because some other reviews said they were Birddogs clones. They're close, but far enough away for me to bring them back. First, the materials appear to be a bit cheaper. The main material can be a bit thinner and the lining doesn't feel as soft and cool. Also, these freeballers are not that comfortable. I measured them against my bird dogs. I have both sizes Large which fit waist size 32-34. In the horizontal position, the unstretched waist measurement of both is 14 inches…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some issues

Haircut questionable.

First off, the Revain isn't the right color in the photo. They make it appear dark gray but it's actually greener as shown in my photos. I was expecting this when looking at other photos before purchasing. The construction looks very solid with double stitching all around and the crotch area looks very reinforced. The pockets are too small for today's large cell phones. I have an S20 Ultra and it just fits in my front pocket (forget the back pockets). The front pockets are tiny. I feel like my…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Not sure

My boyfriend was raving about his birddogs this summer so I wanted to try something like this. I've never worn birddogs, I bought Ol' Faithfuls last week and LOVE them. I've worn them 3 days in a row (2 days every day with underwear, 3rd day without underwear for a long time) and they look great with t-shirts, collared shirts, active tops or solo. They are extremely comfortable, appear to be very well made and can be used in almost any non-cold weather activity I can think of. The pockets are…

More cons than pros, but not quite Birddogs

Pros:* Very soft/comfortable for everyday wear* Fast shipping* About half the size of Birddogs Cons:* Large size too tight for "something Taller" than the average man, Meripex has to add the XL option.* This literally means "Freeballer" in contrasting font, big enough to be read from a safe distance. I understand it is shown in the photos but the font size is larger than expected. I can't wear them in public as an adult. Recommend replacing with Meripex, Freerunner, pretty much everything. * No

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good shorts, somewhat similar to Birddogs

Like many others I was looking for shorts similar to Birddogs but at a lower price. These Meripex shorts are pretty close. As for the color combinations, they obviously just copied the Birddogs. The difference lies in the fabric, the construction and the cut. As previously mentioned, Meripex shorts are made from a much thinner material compared to Birddogs. It's still stretchy and looks decent, but it's definitely thinner and not as smooth. The way the lining is sewn into the shorts is…
