No magnet falling out like some aluminum blanks

Fits right. Prevents dust from entering the filler neck. Bound not to forget. There is no magnet to potentially fall out like a billet aluminum. Simple and effective. If it was cheaper it would be 5 stars instead of 4.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • boring packaging

Looks good but not very functional

Pretty expensive for the price. It doesn't actually stick to the filler neck, it just sits on top and acts like an umbrella. You also need to make sure it is set at the right angle when you put it on the filler neck, otherwise it will interfere with the filler door closing.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Little things

FCA part FCA dropped their $60,000 truck to save a buck

This is the FCA part FCA wanted to drop from their $60,000 truck to save the FCA to save cents. It's the FCA part you want to keep dirt out of the engine of your $60,000+ truck. Yes, it looks like he's there because he *really* is!

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • No automatic

Should be factory standard

Should have been factory supplied with such a gas cap. Prevents dust and dirt from entering the fuel filler neck, perfect fit. I see dirt and dust in the fuel filler flap when I fill up, this will most likely end up in the filler neck. I can only imagine that there will also be snow, ice and salt in there. It was the best price on the internet. Fast shipping too.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Ram saved $1, but now you have $20 to spend.

A must. Chrysler said not to worry, they didn't include it in my $65,000 2500 Laramie. But every time I've checked, there's water in that compartment, and some of it should go into the fuel if you don't have a cap. Water in the fuel/filter system is bad for you, but good for the dealer who charges you $$ to fix a contaminated fuel system...

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Functionality

Good fit and functionality.

The lid loop has a cable hole long enough to reach the lid. You can temporarily remove the cover in the upper left corner of the compartment while refueling. It's snug but feels tight. The lid has a pull tab for easy removal. Nothing functional enough. Should have been OEM from the factory but think about it. RAM Laramie 3500 CTD 2016

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • New competitors are here

EcoDiesel or Cummins should. Not to be confused with Aluminum

Must be factory. The product itself and 5 stars from Amazon. I've been a lifelong friend of Mopar, but sometimes it's hard for me to understand what's going on with Chrysler. The funny thing is that it was the Dodge/RAM dealer who sold and shipped this item through Amazon. Think you buy a $60,000 truck and they can't add a piece of plastic for a few bucks. Ask your dealer and they will tell you that the non-locking gas cap is sealed and has a rubber grommet. Ask any owner after they've been in…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Upgradeable
