Not good parts instructions

Once capped it is capped but no instructions not even on the box so outside of the key that's inside it's a blind bluff and I haven't mastered that cap yet .

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Goes with

When locking, it turns tight

In other words, it locks the fuel filler neck and prevents access without a key. My truck's fuel door won't close (like many older cars do) and someone blew a full tank out of my truck over the weekend. This will not happen again. When properly installed and latched, this gas cap simply twists in place and does not open. That's a lot cheaper than a full tank of gas!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • without machine gun

Motorad MGC-802 Gas Cap

Fits and works as it should. What else can you say or wish? Pickups haul a lot of gas, which translates into a lot of money. With the price of gas, you definitely don't want someone pumping gas out of your car. Can get very expensive. This gas cap will more than pay for itself when it saves you from wasting just one tank of gas!

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Doubt

Works as advertised.

Works as it should. Fits my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport. The quality is not as good as other aftermarket caps as they are made of cheap plastic. The only difficulty is locking/unlocking the lid with the key. This is done with two hands, as the lid rotates freely when turning the key. Therefore, you must hold the lid while turning the key with your other hand. Otherwise I am satisfied with the product.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing wrong with that, everything is fine

THIS is low quality

UPDATE **BROKEN AFTER 3 MONTHS FILL TANK ONCE A WEEK** (DO NOT BUY, BUY STOCK BRAND) It locks and opens the gas cap BUT the key is "two way" "Type means it has cutouts for unlocking the lock on the gas cap on either side of the key, so you can theoretically insert the key from either side. With this "reversible key" the lock can only be opened from one side. So instead of having issues with the Amazon replacement, I just flagged the page that works. THIS IS POOR QUALITY

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Expensive

I prefer rotation

This is my second purchase of this product. The first cap lasted about two years, then I found that it only locks if you turn the cap clockwise. When locked, it will click when rotated either way, but if rotated counter-clockwise, the lid will pop off while remaining in the locked position. Apparently there was a clicker defect as the new cap doesn't click when locked, it just spins freely. I prefer to wring, no force can be applied to the lid when wringing. I hope this cover will last more…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

Neatly lockable tank cap.

The main bonus of this gas cap was that it cost $10.73 while other car dealers gave me $20 for one (or more, don't believe it). He does exactly what he is supposed to. However, there are no instructions in the box how to use it and I couldn't understand it, so I asked my father to look at it and he understood how to use it, I will do my best to give you these instructions admit. First place the cap on the tank opening as usual. then rotate clockwise. To lock the cover while it is held upright…
