💧 WQ105 Water Quality Test Kit Review

I've never had to test water and when I started searching I found all sorts of tests with recommendations, varying prices and not much absolute consistency on the type and manner in which any of it was presented. (As you would expect in a free market that's gone wild west.) I only tried two of the tests in this kit because they didn't match the color of the instructions. Gray not pink etc. Very good value set compared to others but if you can't trust the results.

Very disappointed with this product. Although it comes with all of the above, I only needed one for general stiffness. It was only when I discovered everything that I found out that the hardness scale only has a few squares to compare with the test strip and only shows a few numbers. I already knew I had hard water, I wanted to know a specific number, which wasn't possible when going from 120 to 250. Now I have to buy another brand water test which I hope will show me a more accurate number. .

If I could rate this product I wouldn't rate it with stars. the first panel tests for pH, alkalinity, chlorine and water hardness. I got readings on the first three, but the water hardness was light yellow, just like it started (yellow wasn't on the chart). There is no reference to the iron test. It remained the same color as at the beginning (again not in the color chart). The next test should be for copper. The test strip retains its original color. The last test was for nitrate/nitrate. I bought a water quality test kit to test my water against the advertised water tests. I tested two water samples with different properties. Both tests were the same and showed good tests, low hardness 0-50, no iron or 0, copper 0 sure, nitrates/nitrites 0. I followed the directions strictly and used a timer. Generic hardness test strips don't work at all - they just stay bright yellow like they were before the test (no color on the chart). A chlorine strip test might work — at least the readings for tap water and pitcher filter water are different. However, one of the readings is yellow, which is not on the chart. test and have nothing to do with anything on the chart (they are dark dark and light gray). My husband was supposed to buy this kit for an online chemistry class he was taking for work. I ordered him from Revain, he received the kit, opened it but there is nothing in the package! I did this test to see how a whole house water filter works. The fact that it included two tests per test was great as I needed to test exactly that before and after the filter. The tests were easy to use and quickly gave me basic values of any potential contamination. I say "base level" because that's all you can expect from this kit. It won't tell you exactly how much is in your water, but you should know what area you are in. In some cases it can be a bit difficult to determine which color…
