Excellent for training

I had never taught a dog to use a bell or an object to alert for needing to go outside so this was sort of difficult at first on my end to figure out how to do it, but overall the end result was fantastic. They are loud without being annoyingly loud. I can hear the dog ringing it from anywhere in my 1700sqft house which is very convenient. To the sturdiness, we have a husky who is around 50lbs and likes to really use her claws when ringing it and despite that the metal bell portion and plastic…

Pros
  • Returned
Cons
  • My dogs thought it was a toy and put them in their cage. Had to use the hanging bells

I've been using this for over a month now, and my puppy has consistently used it to tell me if he needs to go out to potty (though of course sometimes he hits it just to be outside for a bit). While it works well and is durable (not even the paint has stripped off), I think the top part can be bigger and the rubber bottom can be heavier/grippier. The part that your pet is supposed to hit should be bigger, as my lab would miss it half the time; though with more use and training, he has become…

Pros
  • Got it so my dog could let us know when he had to go outside. Works great.
Cons
  • The bells may be too heavy for some pets to ring

Do not ring easily or loud

These bells are quite flimsy and the dogs roll them over when trying to ring them. Not very good for potty training. The bells hanging on door knob are much better.

Pros
  • A fun way to interact with your furry friend
Cons
  • The bells may require too much effort for some pets to ring

Great for potty training! Our blue heeler pup is now 14 weeks old, it took her about a month to completely understand what the bell was for. After putting peanut butter under the bell and teaching her to nose it or paw it and then saying "outside” really helped her grasp that the bell = outside. Eventually I stopped putting peanut butter and just praised her for using it. She caught on fairly quickly considering how young she is. She will occasionally use the bell just to go outside and sniff…

Pros
  • Doors, Gates & Ramps
Cons
  • The non-skid base may not work on all surfaces

2 Weeks and she's 85% Potty Trained

Brought her home at 8 weeks, got the bell at 9 weeks old. now she's 10.5 weeks old and rings the bell to go outside and potty. There is maybe once a day when she just can't hold it (after all her bladder is really tiny) but she goes pee next to the bell and immediately rings it after to show me that she was trying to make there in time. She no longer pees on the rug. if she does't ring the bell to make it outside first, she pees on the wood laminate by the bell. Brilliant! I got the two pack…

Pros
  • Doorbells
Cons
  • The bells may not be effective for pets who are stubborn

Perfect for 3 story house, bell on each floor

I live in a 3 story townhouse where we cordoned off our puppy on one floor depending on what we are doing during the day. We have one by the front door on the 1st floor that we introduced our 12 week old puppy 5 days ago. She picked it up quick. Two days ago we started using the second one on the second floor (main living floor) and she has already started using it to tell us when she needs to go out. I’m ordering another set to put on the third level. That way she will always have a way to…

Pros
  • Can be used for potty training and door signaling
Cons
  • The non-skid base may stain certain surfaces

Best ringer ever! best in my review

Oh my goodness - we lost our beloved Yorkie in November 2019. We decided in May 2020 to get another one. One thing we decide to do was train her to ring a bell when she has to go outside to potty. We did the typical bell on a string by the door and she picked it up in less than a day (smart Yorkie 😉). Well the bell on the string broke so I searched for one and came across this! This is the best purchase ever! It came with 2 bells and a clicker.we leave one bell by our back door for her to use…

Pros
  • Non-slip base protects your floors and walls from scratches and damage
Cons
  • The bells may only work for certain types of doors, limiting their usefulness

Great bell. Loud enough. Top part comes off easily

This does the job, is nice looking and loud enough. Dog can use paw or snout. I like this better than the bells on door handles because then the dog is not scratching the door. The dog was able to pull the top piece off very easily when we left her alone for a moment. It went Back on easily, just wish it was a bit sturdier

Pros
  • Saves time and effort compared to constantly monitoring your pet's signals
Cons
  • The bells may not be effective for pets with certain medical conditions

Great idea: my feedback

Bought this because a friend uses it for her dog to let her know when he's got to go potty. I love the idea, unfortunately my dog seems to be afraid of its sound. will continue trying to train him with it though.

Pros
  • Two bells included, so you can place them in multiple locations
Cons
  • The bells may become damaged if pets chew on them

Great bells in my review

Works great. There was a bit of a learning curve for my dog because they don't ring if you hit them slowly or hold it down, but she figured out pretty quickly she has to hit them quickly for it to ring.

Pros
  • Helps eliminate accidents in the house
Cons
  • The bells may not be effective for pets who are too young to understand their purpose

Great idea! good for me

We're working with this to train our dog to let us know when he needs to go outside. He seems to be catching on. Sort of a fun novelty :)

Pros
  • Provides pets with a sense of security and routine
Cons
  • The bells may not work for pets who prefer to scratch at doors instead

Really works in my review

At first we tried with the other traditional bell like they have in front offices, but that was a total fail. Then on the 2nd day of trying with this little guy, my cat started digging the bell. When I'm not even near the bell, I can her her digging it. If you want to train your cat to ring a bell, I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Durable construction ensures long-lasting use
Cons
  • The bells may not be durable enough for frequent use

Nice unless the puppy moves it

Loved the bell, and it works like a charm during and after potty training. Only downside is that it needs like a suction cup or something in the bottom. My curious pup liked to relocate the bell and try to chew on it.

Pros
  • They are pretty in color, just hope my puppy will know how to use it.
Cons
  • tried to teach my dogs to use this but it did not work. maybe user error :/

My dog carries these away.

Bell training works great for my dog, but this type of bell is too easily carried away. I used bells that hung on the doorknob. They worked and my dog didn’t carry them off.

Pros
  • Lightweight and easy to transport
Cons
  • The bells may not work for pets who are anxious or nervous

A really great deal

These are perfect to the price and if using them to potty train. I gave four stars because I only wish I dinged louder, it’s more of a dull sound.

Pros
  • My dog just likes the sound, doesn’t really help with training.
Cons
  • The bells may not be loud enough for some pets

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works okay, but could be a little better, mechanically.

By saying "could be better", I mean that a puppy has to tap the center of the button just right and release it just right for it to ring and not be muffled. A puppy in training can't focus on the button and doesn't know how to tap it just right. Other than that the product is good. In our case, it turned out that our puppy just wasn't getting the concept, so we moved the bell to the center of the room and put it into a routine with her other training with "sit, down, shake, hands, ring the…

Pros
  • B089RBHPW3
Cons
  • The bells may rust over time

Good quality - my new review

Good quality and sturdy. Easy to ring but I cant get my schnoodle puppy to ring it. I recommend using double sided tape on the bottom so your puppy doesnt carry it off like mine did.

Pros
  • Keeps pets from scratching at doors or furniture
Cons
  • The bells may not be effective for pets who are easily distracted

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to teach for my opinion

Bought this to potty train an 8 week old puppy. He picked up on it very quickly. It was easy for him to hit the bell with his foot even though he’s very small doxiepoo. Now we come running when we hear it!

Pros
  • Easy to use and setup
Cons
  • The bells may distract pets from other important tasks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

my dog still doesn't get it.

it's been a few months. i've tried changing the technique but he still doesn't get it. i'm keeping it in hopes that he'll one day get it. i really want him to get it.

Pros
  • Great for pets with mobility issues who can't reach doors or outdoor areas
Cons
  • The bells may not be a good fit for pets who live in small spaces
