Easy to install: computers and accessories

I needed a WiFi hotspot to send a signal to a neighboring building. Mesh systems don't work because of metal roofs and thick walls. I needed a transmitter that connected directly to my router. I managed to install it outside the house. I've watched several Youtube videos showing how to connect to a router. I connected to Apple Airport Extreme and it was very easy. My fiber optic connection is raging at 100 Mbit/s. With a 5G antenna I can receive at least 90% of what is in a building 25 m away…

So far so good for computers and accessories

I use it in repeater mode. Setup was pretty easy, if you're able to do that I highly recommend hooking it up to the 5GHz band if you can get a signal where you want to set it up. During setup, name the 2 new networks the same as your existing 2.4 and 5GHz bands and use the same password for a smooth transition. I installed it about 50 feet away from my existing router, which connects to my 5 GHz network through some aluminum clad walls, and I can get 50-60 Mbps in about 300 feet, so in…

Get AC1200 instead

Bought as a wireless outdoor repeater/extender. There are many cheaper/better options from major brands for outdoor wired access points, but this is the only outdoor wireless extender I could find. It was very easy to install as a WiFi extender, but the performance was unacceptable. Internet speeds dropped from over 200 Mbps to less than 3 Mbps when connected to a repeater a few feet from the router, and dropped rapidly when removed. It was not a good solution to connect to my wifi camera. Came

Offers WIFI in the yards

I have moved to a small farm that is disconnected from wired internet. So I use a Sprint Hotspot modem, which provides the same Wi-Fi coverage throughout the house as the regular modems I had when I lived in the city. I wanted WIFI in the yard and outbuildings. I mounted the AC600 to a 3ft pole on the porch roof next to the office where I keep my Sprint modem. At this point I had 3 WiFi bars on my iPhone. The Sprint modem does not have an ethernet connection, so my connection from the modem to…

Works well, needs a few features to make it great.

Update August 14: Dead WiFi. So here is the short version. It was on and working and then the wifi didn't work. Disable and restart. Have been working with it for a good 2 hours and can connect via ethernet cable and the device is responsive (including firmware update with no problems) but the end result is still no wifi. He was able to find the signal I wanted to repeat, but no more. Conclusion I broke something. Needless to say, the drive was getting annoying in terms of wifi and we've…
