Disposable solution for scanners and accessories

The machine worked exactly as advertised. I was able to digitize all my old negatives and slides, which has been a dream of mine for many years. The instruction booklet was a bit sparse, but eventually, through trial and error, I was able to transfer the slides and negatives. At first I found it a bit tedious to only be able to transfer three slides or five negatives. But once I got into the routine and used the editing process as a breather, I was able to transfer the articles straight away…

Pros
  • This film/slide converter has 32MB of built-in flash memory, as well as an SD card slot that supports memory cards up to 8GB in size, and a built-in USB interface allows for easy connection to a Computer
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Pretty good, best office electronics

I wasn't expecting this to work for the price and was amazed that it worked and how quickly it did scan the slide. No buzz, I'm waiting. I have hundreds of slides that I don't want to save, so this converter works well for my purpose. The bolt carrier is poorly designed - as a result it does not fit very well in the bolt receiver and does not close completely. Therefore, it is difficult to fully insert the slide holder. Carrier slide strictly and push and pull operation. I can only use half of…

Pros
  • Power supply with USB cable, instruction manual, film compartment, slide compartment, cleaning brush, video cable
Cons
  • Hard to say

VuPoint FCC520VP digital film and slide converter.

Even though my slides were converted, it wasn't easy. None of these things can be done mechanically in a conveyor belt way. The effort required great attention to detail, and setting up the equipment was no easy task. One problem is that the power cord is short and you can't unplug the converter from the outlet. My main complaint is that after about a hundred rebuilds the unit stopped working and was able to be returned to Revain in just 30 days. I didn't try to use the converter immediately…

Mind transformation for years

I've wanted to digitize my negatives for a long time so I can share them more easily with family and friends so I don't lose my prints and get a copy at Walmart all were expensive skeptical who they saw, bought at best for the money they wanted and no one could give me any information about the product, good or bad. This is when I decided to join Amazon as they had a wide range to choose from. It was posted for 96.00 and other sellers for less so I tried one for 46.00 just to try and be glad I…

Great product for the price

This is a great product for its price - easy to use, easy to set up (read the instructions first) and relatively quick . The slow part is finding your negatives, which can be tricky, and putting them in the holder, which is easy. It is designed for 35mm negatives or standard slides. It does the job I wanted, which is inventory of my thousands of negatives. I have just started this task and I am very thankful for a device that I can use without any problems. Once I set it up for negatives, all I

Exceeded expectations

With over 2,000 slides stored in boxes for 35-55 years the idea of digitizing them seemed overwhelming. I used to try to scan them with an HP scanner but the quality was poor unless I increased the number of pixels, in which case it took 3-5 minutes to scan the slide. With VuPoint, the process has become much simpler and actually scanning each slide took less than 5 seconds. But the best part was the quality, which was as good or even better than my HP scanner. As with both experiments, some…

Decent (but not great) slide/negative scanner

Decent low resolution slide/negative scanner. Advantages: 1. Easy to use - an untrained user simply aligns images and presses the SCAN.2 button. Uses SC card - Accepts large SD cards so you can scan TONES before transferring them to your computer. It's simple and transparent for the user.3. Decent (not great) image quality. Scans are cropped (missing edges) and low resolution. Both factors make them far from ideal, but the main expectation you should have is that this scanner will give you…

Change of mind over the years

so as not to lose my prints and a copy at Walmart for everyone would be too expensive, skeptical of the ones I've seen at best buy for the money they wanted and no one there could give me any information about the product, good or bad. This is when I decided to join Amazon as they had a wide range to choose from. It was posted for 96.00 and other sellers for less so I tried one for 46.00 just to try and be glad I liked it and found long forgotten photos all in FB posts rated and I can't wait to

Works great for scanners

This does a great job of converting your old 35mm slides to JPEG on your computer. You need to put the slides in the tray 3 at a time and then run them through the machine one by one. This work is slow and tedious, but the resulting images are very sharp when viewed on a computer screen or other device, and in JPEG format, making it easy to email or burn to DVD, where in general excellent results are achieved. My advice is to set this up so that you can leave it on and come back to it from time

Pros
  • Digital images are stored in JPEG or TIFF format for easy viewing on the scanner's 2.4" TFT LCD; No computer required to convert images when saving to memory card
Cons
  • Long delivery time
