Not version elm327 2.2 as stated

Based on the description I assumed that it was elm327 v2.2. According to my app id elm327 it is only version 1.4. What I have to say is better than most of the obd2 adapters on Amazon that claim version 2.1 or higher. So the search for a genuine elm327 v2.2 or 2.1 adapter continues.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • No machine

It worked great with Torque and my Galaxy S7 Edge

I will update my stars once Xtrons helps. It worked great with Torque and my Galaxy S7 Edge. Now that I've installed an Xtrons double din head unit, the head unit sees it but won't let me insert a pin to connect. It just asks me if I want to connect yes/no. If you click Yes, nothing happens.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

Random disconnects and reading data takes a long time slow

I love it when it works! It keeps losing connection with the device and this is the recommended option. I would like to try another one, maybe mine is defective or not compatible with the Mercedes c230 sport. I would like the seller to send me another one or two to see if the problems persist. I will update the review if I try another product. Many Thanks

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Cheap, reliable. in Tools & Hardware

I'm guessing it might not have an ELM chip but I didn't really notice as it does what I need to communicate with my XTrons main unit and codes to read . I use it with a 2008 Jeep Commander and XTrons head unit. I had to change the bluetooth pairing code in my main unit from 0000 to 1234 for this to work, but after that it never disconnects on startup so I leave it plugged in almost all the time.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Ok

That works great. You cannot reset BMW specific codes.

Used on two different BMW vehicles (2004 BMW X5 E53 and 2001 BMW 540i E39). That works great. You can't reset BMW specific codes (like brake sensors, airbags etc) but you can get quite a bit of information, check and reset CEL codes etc. I use it with the DashCommand app. I docked a star because the Torque app adapter error count increased to 7 on initial install, which could be a torque bug. Seems to work better with DashCommand.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some flaws

No connection, not working

I bought this to connect to my XTrons main unit but it doesn't work with the Torque app that came with the unit. The bluetooth connection works but Torque says there is a problem with the OBD box and no data is being transmitted or displayed. To test the OBD unit, I connected another OBD XTrons unit (exactly the same OBD model that has been proven to work, but used in another car with a different model of XTrons main unit) and the same problem occurred with this XTrons head unit (Model…

The product works. It's weird but I'm happy.

When I first plugged in the adapter, it couldn't be detected by the head unit's bluetooth function. After several reboots, the head unit (TE706PL: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CPS731Y/) recognized the ODB2 scanner, but the scanner itself reported that it was not connected to the car's ECU (2000 Toyota Tacoma, 3.4V6 , automatic transmission). To check the sender, I turned it off in the main unit's menu and then connected it to my Chromebook's Bluetooth. I installed the Torque Lite app on
