I bought this monitor to replace a 10 year old HP22. This monitor was very easy to install and set up. I used a Thunderport 3.0 USB-C with a video adapter and connected it to the included HDMI cable and it connected with no issues. If you encounter problems like resetting your display settings to default values every time you turn on this monitor, you don't have to worry about a refund. It's part of the drivers that seem to get installed after you connect it to your computer. If you want less hassle, uninstall any new HP-branded applications from the Control Panel. This is the best 144hz monitor I've had in a long time (not quite) and I got this monitor at a discount and I'm glad it looks new no scratches and YES IT HAS BEEN USED, BUT has hardly any smell/odour. and it looks good, but there is a small problem. It comes with a little stand 😶 Which is really cute because it's small. The monitor on the back looks very THICK but that doesn't bother me and I've heard that this monitor pulls a lot more watts out of the wall than it's old but I don't know 🤷‍♂️

Good monitor for the price. Comes with OMEN Gaming Hub which will be reinstalled when you uninstall it. It will fight you with every monitor setting, overriding your settings every time you adjust them. If you turn it off at startup and disable background processes, it will periodically turn itself on. In fact, it is an HP-branded Trojan. The only solution was to leave it installed but mess up the app's assets and scripts so technically it's still installed but broken and unusable.

I tend to agree with other reviewers on this, the monitor itself is pretty basic, it's just your standard no frills 1080p IPS monitor, the colors are accurate but they don't impress me, the only reason you would buy this monitor. Any other regular 1080p IPS monitor is only good for this 144Hz refresh rate otherwise it looks the same as any other 1080p IPS screen. I have 3 of these monitors due to the incredible price and picture they offer (waiting for my triple mount). 1080p resolution doesn't matter for gaming as 1440p is the highest you'll ever want, but for that you need a powerful PC. Don't get me wrong this is a quality monitor from a reputable brand and it works great. My only real issue with it is the price. This 24-inch 1080p 144Hz monitor costs about half the price of my 65-inch 4k 120Hz monitor (it's actually a full Smart TV that I use as a monitor). I bought two of these monitors on recommendation and I have to say I was amazed at the quality. These aren't your average, questionable, run-of-the-mill computer monitors, and they're good value for money, but can you catch them when they sometimes drop to $160 per monitor? This is absolute theft. I use them for work purposes but I see how they will attract a professional player. Buy with confidence.

This is a great monitor that can serve multiple purposes. I tried it briefly for gaming and general computing and found it excellent. However, I mainly use it as a security camera monitor where it shows live video from multiple cameras. Detail is superb and color saturation is excellent. There are a number of settings for adjusting brightness and other settings, but I found the default settings to be excellent for the most part with no adjustments.

This is a great monitor! I'm not an avid gamer, but I'm a graphic designer and this monitor is great for that. Sharp and clear with real colors. Mine is connected to my MacBook Pro via HDMI via a docking station. The image quality on the display is almost the same as on the built-in display, which says a lot considering the quality of the Mac display! Great monitor, highly recommend!

The picture looks great out of the box, but is a bit bluish. I think I have a bad machine too. No matter what I do, every time the monitor wakes up or turns on, it resets to the default settings. So any color adjustments or picture mode changes are easily reset once it goes to sleep.

The X24i series may be built for gamers, but it's an absolute must as a distance learning tool, where the more quality surfaces you have at your disposal, the better. My doctoral student teaches with scaling and other live distance methods but pushed to the limit. The picture quality on this monitor is excellent! Very bright and vivid colors with 1080p and IPS panel. The IPS panel makes the picture quality so great. Easy to install and set up, you'll be up and running in minutes. Although this monitor is designed for gaming/gamers, it is great for distance learning with zoom. The HP website acknowledges this issue and suggests changing the settings through the OMEN Gaming Hub. In the refresh rate settings, there is almost no ghosting on the 2nd level of response speed. I would recommend using this setting or 3rd speed if you really need fast response time but noticeably ghosting occurs after this point. The fastest setting is unsuitable for competitive gaming.
