Yes, there is an AUX input

I had a very hard time buying this 3.5mm jack because it just looked like it wasn't what I needed. it just doesn't look like you can plug an extra cable or headphones into it. Yes you can! I have this with a 3.5mm cable running behind the wall to the AUX input on my soundbar. I use it to connect my phone or mp3 player to the soundbar as it usually works better than bluetooth. I like it!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Low repairability

Works well, too wide

This 3.5mm keystone adapter works well. As others have noted, it doesn't snap or latch like you're used to with headphone jacks. Besides, I had no problems with his work. However, I had an issue installing Keystone in my 6-port deployment. It fits perfectly on a 3-port insert and snaps in easily. The 6th port has an extra piece of plastic covering the inside of the hole on the back of the insert. This effectively made it impossible to use another keystone adapter alongside it. Luckily I only…

Excellent way to connect stereo or mono 3.5mm cables!

I bought several of these to plug some stereo cables into the wall to get some digital signals back and forth to the audio system. They worked very well. It takes a lot of pressure on the cable to get the last 1/32 of an inch to seat properly, but either way the cable is reliable and transmits sound without interference. Pros: * Price * Easy to use * Excellent quality compared to similar devices * Gold-plated connectors for better signal and no corrosion. Notes: You will likely have to push the

Working but has 1 defect

Extremely difficult to connect a 3.5mm cable to this jack. You have to press really hard for it to snap into place. Once it works great, but the effort should not be so high to push the cable into the connector. I marked it with a star for that. I installed it behind a wall mounted TV and connected the 3.5mm cable after the TV was installed leaving very little room to work. Connected, but with more effort than I would like.

My favorite is the 3.5mm keystone jack.

The connection in these blocks is extremely strong. I've bought a few over the past year and they've all had a very good, very solid connection. You never have to worry about cables falling out in the wall. although I still used the tape tab just to be sure and prevent anything else from accidentally touching the outer surface. I've used them for both the stereo IR emitter lines and the mono 12V trigger lines and they worked fine in both applications.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Stereo routing with fewer parts!

Everything in my current setup runs on 1/8" stereo cables and plugs, so I didn't want to complicate things by running speaker wire and crimping the plugs. This allowed me to use a pre-made 15- Using foot stereo jumper cables to route audio from the source room end to the speaker room end through the basement.Apart from the negative aesthetic of running cables in the room itself, this would also mean running cables through one of the two sills, through which normal foot traffic passes (a big…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Works as intended but sized to fit very snugly on the end that goes into the wall located. I thought the cable was fully plugged in, but it wasn't, and this resulted in a signal short between two or three L/R/Gs. First I checked all other points in the chain and thought it was ok. But in the end I decided to take it off and test it in my hand and it worked fine. I put it back on the disk and the problem reappeared. So I pushed even harder to make sure the connector was fully seated in the back…

Poor quality and only good for permanent installation

I usually like Monoprice products. They usually meet minimum quality standards and I've rarely had a problem with this brand. But this keystone connector is a very notable exception. As previously mentioned, the Keystone has additional plastic ribs on the sides that make it too wide to fit next to another Keystone when mounted in a four or six hole wall plate. I had to cut these tabs off. There is no reason why they should be necessary as many other manufacturers have no problem making…
