I thought it would be more efficient to read text and use it to translate. I have to go through the text several times before it is read correctly. The screen is old fashioned.

The pen is a great time saver!

When reading a magazine or book in Spanish, this pen saves you time looking up words in the dictionary. It usually scans correctly after a try or two, but sometimes you need to get it right, especially with small text. I think it's totally worth the price and helped me a lot in learning Spanish.

Useful device for translating reading material

I bought a Quicktionary device to learn Spanish. I have already used Franklin's Pocket Electronic Dictionary and wanted to add to it. If I had to choose between the two, I would leave Franklin. Although a bit slower and requires typing words, Franklin has more features like conjugation, games etc., is cheaper and smaller and can be carried in the pocket.
