Add shims! in Brake System

Works great except for one part that was not included. I forgot to put the old one in and messed up the sensor tip. my mistake. but the new one should be with new sensors?!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Fits but tolerance cannot be adjusted

Fits well but still had problems with ABS. Tried with "spacer" and without. I ended up buying the complete front bearing. 30 dollars spent. There is no way to check the clearance tolerance in the bearing to make it work properly?

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • I will add later

Misleading description

I wasn't impressed that I only received 1 sensor. A very misleading right/left description. The description doesn't say a quantity so I assumed I would get both the right and left. I will update my review after installation.

Pros
  • Outstanding overall performance
Cons
  • The list would be long.

Sensor does the job, economical,

This fixed my ABS sensor issues on my '05 Silverado. Old sensors where they shot hard, new ones solved the problem. It takes a little patience in the area you work in. Be prepared not to expect a 5 minute job, but it won't be long. However, the key is proper installation and cable routing.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Legacy model

It's worth it. Suitable for speed sensors

Works great. All clips provided (included) replace the OEM clips, which is nice. ***NOTE*** If your vehicle has OEM gaskets next to the sensor head, DO NOT install these on the new element as this can result in a fairly large gap. so the sensor doesn't pick up the wheel speed signal and your ABS motor turns on at low speeds making it difficult to stop.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Updates available

You get what you pay for.

The difference in quality between this unit and the original equipment is obvious. However, it works. We'll just see how long that lasts. The OEM sensor has 2 fairly thick O-rings. It only has a very thin O-ring. It only comes out 6 1/2 while the OEM had 7. I'm not sure what that means exactly. This item costs about 5 times LESS than the original part. So obviously there will be a quality exchange.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Weight

ABS works! for speed sensors

I bought 2 of these ABS sensors for my 2001 Silverado 4x4. I picked up the truck in January 2020 and the ABS light has been on since I received it. I assumed it was the module/pump but the ABS fuse was pulled out of my truck and when I plugged it back in the ABS started blowing at 2-10mph. I knew it was the sensor or both. After removing the old sensors, cleaning the steering knuckle a bit and installing new sensors, the ABS problem was of course solved. Tamkken appears to be one of two…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
