I have used this product in my tank to create a small 'hiding place' in the hobbit hole for my Axolotls. That works great. It's backed by foam, so it wants to float when used underwater. So if you use it this way you will have to use silicone or stones to hold it. My axolotls like to hang on to it and it feels pleasantly soft for their delicate skin. Very happy with this purchase

I use this for my axolotl. It is safe for them but requires some work to install in an aquarium as it floats. I'm done about how it looks in my aquarium and I agree. Pieces will fall off. Very soft and true to description but I was a little disappointed that my roll had 1-1.5 inches exposed. I'm not sure if it was because it was the end of the role and just a coincidence or not. I read the previous reviews on this product and decided to try it and use it for a few months before writing my review. I have chameleons and most reviews say it's great for retaining moisture and it's true that it doesn't dry out as quickly as soil, bark or reptile carpet. This saved him from getting a one point mark.
