The Fluke 101 was just what I needed.

I had an old pencil sized SOAR DMM in my desk drawer for a long time but it was starting to fail and I needed a good replacement. I've always liked Fluke products so I decided to give the little 101 a try. I've seen reviews complaining about bad leads, but the leads I'm getting are solidly connected and very flexible. My only (minor) complaint is that the switch toggles from OFF to AC and then to DC. Most of my measurements are DC voltage and I want them to swap these two. A good product!

POOR TERMINAL CONNECTION

FLUKE 101 just received within 1 day of ordering (PRIME). Very slim appearance; Unfortunately, the wires don't connect well, especially the COM port. Didn't know this model didn't have a backlit display...it's my fault for not paying attention to detail. . Now I need to find out what my options are to return it or get my money back. I would recommend this article if the connection is working properly. A display with no light to deal with. UPDATE: I received a replacement unit from Revain very…

Incredibly good $

This little buddy is in many ways better than my larger, older Fluke meter which, by the way, has lasted over 30 years and still works well most of the time. The device measures capacitance and frequency over useful ranges, has three-digit resolution that's fairly accurate and definitely repeatable, and all the usual basics you'd expect from a multimeter. the tendency to "run" unless you put it on something clingy. Some small rubber feet solve this problem. There's also no way to "zero" the…

I've always trusted Fluke multimeters!

forklift and auto mechanic. I've had a Fluke 12 for as long as I can remember, I started using a multimeter, I still have it and it still works great! Have bought a few other gauges over the years just to try (btw, I'll admit it, buying and trying new toys all the time - I mean tools!) but nothing works. nothing lasted a few months at best. Had to buy this one as the price is great it's made in China but so far as good as I've liked it in my Fluke12 hope it lasts. Love everything about this…

Faulty wire connectors

Used it to check several parts on a washing machine I am repairing. , and by that I mean the LIGHTEST touch - like gently tugging on the wires in normal use - turns them off. It's a nightmare when you're checking for continuity and the multimeter doesn't beep. Is it an open circuit? Or do you just need to readjust the output jacks? For each test, you MUST press the input jacks. every time The multimeter itself - I obviously haven't used it much, but the one or two resistance, capacitance and…

My first happiness! Fluke 101

After buying different multimeters from different brands I finally ordered my first Fluke. I also ordered a case for it. I call him my "Baby Fluke"! This is a small counter. It's tiny compared to my Klein MM1000. It's lightweight, but definitely not a cheap feel. The test leads that come with the kit are decent and sensitive enough that the meter will beep slightly if you touch the ends together on a signal trace test. I usually test my multimeters with the beep and how quickly it reads the…

Great counter!

I have owned a Fluke 79 for over 20 years and often use high end Fluke test tools in my work. I wanted to get a second meter to keep handy in the garage. 101 seemed like a good choice. I am happy with my purchase. The counter is small, the display is easy to read, it does basic tasks well and feels well made. I considered the more expensive 107. Based on my experience with the 101, I would not recommend it. If you want more features, spend a little more and get one of the more expensive gauges…
