Description of 💪 OEMTOOLS 25219 Hydraulic Ram: The Safe & Easy Ball Joint Separator for Most Vehicles, Rated to 8 Tons

NO MORE PICKLE FORKS, NO AIR TOOLS NEEDED, MINIMAL EFFORT: Simply rotate the large forcing screw until the jaws are seated on the ball joint. Then, rotate the small hydraulic forcing screw using a ratchet or wrench until separation. RATED TO 8 TONS: Designed for power and efficiency, the small hydraulic forcing screw displaces fluid in the large forcing screw, applying up to 8 tons of pressure on the ball joint. UNIVERSAL APPLICATION: Jaw width of 22mm and capacity of 56mm allows for use on most passenger vehicles on the road today. NONDAMAGING—SAVE MONEY ON REPLACEMENT PARTS: Unlike pickle forks or other ball joint separators, this tool will separate ball joints without damaging the dust boot or ball joint, allowing reuse of components. SAFER FOR THE TECHNICIAN: The hydraulic ram provides constant, even pressure to the ball joint until separation. Using this tool, the user reduces the risk of projectiles, hammer strikes or pinch points. Fit type: Universal Fit.

Easy to use and reliable tool!

Before I bought this I used an inexpensive Harbor Freight. I only used the Harbor Freight Tool once on the left/right side because it was difficult to use and close to breaking. It was difficult to hold the ball joint in place as it tried to loosen when tightened. With this part, however, it was surprisingly easy to remove the ball joints! I've used it several times and it never wanted to loosen when you tightened it and I never had to use its hydraulic part because the ball joints kept…

Monster to See: Tools and Equipment

After reading the reviews on this tool, I took a chance and spent a few dollars to purchase it, although I had not previously used a similar tool to my satisfaction had worked. The previous tool that this one replaced was a lot cheaper, but not just in price, confirming the old adage "you get what you pay for". The tool bent trying to remove the ball joint, not the other way around. But this tool was immediately impressive! The weight and weight immediately gave me confidence. The hydraulic…

Works for some, not me

I'll start off by saying I have very bad joint jams due to rust, pressure and god knows ball joints you can get your hands on are incredibly fused. I rode it for 4 days, went through 4 cucumber forks, 3 ball joint spreaders and air hammer slides to finally get all the damn stuff. On my car, the front lower pivot points are literally part of the arm, so no ball joint press would work. At any rate, I'm saying that because you take this review with a grain of salt in terms of quality, as if you…

This tool is required to replace the ball joint and linkage on '07-'18 Jeep!

I used this tool to remove the linkage from the pitman arm and the tie rod end from the steering knuckle when replacing my bent linkage on a 2012 Jeep JK. It worked like a charm. These were COOL! I used a 1/2" Craftsman ratchet. It was easy to tighten, never had to strain to turn the wrench. I waited a little after the puff and.BOOM! knuckle. Leave the nut in place and Spot so the ball joint doesn't fly!I held the tool loosely to catch it.Be sure to lubricate the threads of both the large and…
