Worked great! - Ties and Anchors

This thing worked like magic. I used this on a 2010 F150 Lariat to install ADARAC. The included instructions even told me where to drill the pilot hole. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Damaged

Works as advertised

Works as advertised. I should have used a regular bit first or tried a dremel, I'm sure both could do the same job and they're already in the toolbox. I don't know what to do with that $10 now.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Other

The right tool at the right price

I didn't have to use it because the post pocket holes in my bed rail guard were large enough to mount the ox ring anchors. However, the router bit looks like it would do a decent job if I had to use it.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Not sure

Works with the 2018 F150 short bed

I was nervous trying to crack into my 2018 F150 but it made it super easy. Take a minute to adjust the elevation so it doesn't go too low and hit the metal, and the rest is a breeze. It will melt some plastic and when it does just remove it by hand and come back to finish cutting.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I don't remember

Works as advertised

Bullring has an installation video on YouTube showing how to use this bit and companion to open body rail pockets on pre 2018 Ram trucks. The bearings guarantee that the metal will not be damaged, only the plastic cover. This tool is needed for both back and front pockets. At the back, he will open the bag a little more, after cutting another piece off the flange that descends into the hole.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Looks good quality

Looks good quality but I haven't actually used it. If you already have a tonneau installed, such as B. the Bakflip g2, you must remove them to use the router as the railing will obstruct the router. Instead of shooting a ton I used a dremel with a cutting wheel at a fairly low speed, cleaned up the cuts with a razor blade and still got a nice clean ring set. I would estimate it took 20-30 minutes.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Zero

it was totally useless

Not wanting to shoot my tonneau it was totally useless. You can only start the router if you remove the tonneau rails. I just used a utility knife to cut the bed rails. Worked great, just be patient and be prepared to spend 10 minutes cutting each hole piece by piece. Even less time to remove and reinstall the bars. Only put 3 because it looks like a great tool just couldn't figure it out myself.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Negative impression

Worth the cost to do a clean job installing a bullring.

Did the job. Clean cut plastic. I've seen some reviews that say you can scratch the paint under the bed rails if you don't set the correct depth, but that's a setting issue, not a product defect. Yes, some of the plastic will melt and grip the drill bit, but that's inevitable due to the material being cut. I recommend moving the router INTO the SLOT rather than removing it. Use controlled, smooth movements to ensure cleanliness. I don't see how you could use any other cutter to do this job so…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Almost never
