I love this staircase. I wanted something that wouldn't look horrible or industrial in my bedroom. The look of the micro suede is great. For my bed I had to find 4 steps, most have 3. Measure the area before ordering! All of this is to say that you don't need a SMALL dog if you don't have one. They are not very stable and wobble a little. My dog hesitated maybe a day before realizing he could trust them. She is 8 pounds. For your health!

I almost ordered these steps because of some reviews. I'm glad I did. The steps are not only beautiful, but also popular with dogs. They are so soft which is especially good for my chihuahua who has a sore hip. The color in this picture is not correct at all. The color is beautiful, rich, dark brown. And what I love most is that my other dog can't bite the carpet off her! Just update the rating to add a photo as requested by the buyer.

My poor 7lb 20 year old chihuahua hates these steps! Every time he tries them, he shakes and shakes so badly that he looks up at me, scared to death that he might fall. I ended up paying $70 for another set which he likes a lot more as it's a lot sturdier. And the fabric on them isn't bullying at all, so when he tries to use it to grab a little to get up (he's 20!), it just slides across the surface, giving him even less of a sense of security. . We've had it for 6 years now and it looks the same as the day we bought it. Our cats and dogs use it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. That was great. I wish the top step was stronger and the bottom step didn't slip. If the top step were twice as deep, the ladder could be placed to the side of the bed. As long as you can clamp the ladder to keep it in place. They are great for a small dog. Luckily, my bedroom setup allows me to push the corner of the bottom ladder against the dresser so the ladder sits securely on my high Cal King bed and doesn't shift around on the hardwood floor. Bought these steps to help one of my 20 lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniels get onto the couch because she has injured her back and it is difficult to jump them up. I liked them so much that I subsequently bought another 3 step window sill ladder that dogs use during the day and a set of 4 steps to help them get to the top of my bed. Okay, I'm really glad I checked the color of the chocolate (and that someone here helped and posted a photo) because the color is COMPLETELY MISSING - by a long shot.
