Works on a 2003 Chevy Tahoe.

According to the product description, it only fits Chevy 07 or New Era trucks. I bought it anyway, thinking it would work on my 2003 speedo, and of course it did! I think it will fit 2004-2006 models as well. All you have to do is cut a hole to insert the filter. The filter can be used without problems. I am glad that I bought this product. Be sure to remove any debris you find when you open it.

Too bad I didn't install this kit years ago.

Installation was a little tricky for me as I have to work in a small space and I'm a big guy. The Dremel tool made the installation pretty easy. Unscrew the two screws, turn the cover to the side and cut out the slot where the filter will be installed. Insert the filter, close the filter with the cap and screw provided and you're done. If you've put it off for too long like I have, clean out your air ducts before installing the filter. It was perfect for my 2011 Tahoe.

Works great!: Spare parts

This product arrived as expected and works great! Installation on the LTZ-Tahoe is quite difficult due to the limited space, hard-to-reach cover screw, and unusual working angles. Otherwise it is very difficult to cut with a box knife and there is no place for power tools) and this kit is easy to install. Changing the filter on the go is also child's play, as only the two easily accessible housing screws have to be loosened in order to access the filter housing.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Some bugs

Filter and cap seem to work great. 5 stars for the product. The installation is small, mainly due to limited access (2011 Silverado 2500HD). Even with a very sharp (new) razor, it took a lot of clumsy elbowing to cut through the plastic and make a hole for the filter. What I found out about halfway through is that if you tilt the blade inwards slightly (towards the center of the piece you are removing) the blade will penetrate more easily and you can slowly cut through the plastic.

  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Must be included from the factory

Installed in my 11 Series Silverado LT cab. The installation is a bit tricky as it is very narrow under the dashboard. Remove the resistor plug next to the filter to make room to work. Removing the fan shroud completely also gives you more room to work. I used a small flathead screwdriver, which I used to sharpen the edge to make a cut around the plastic panel that needs to be removed to install the filter. Give this panel a good rating and then use a sharp X-acto knife or utility knife to cut…

you can do that. - Spare parts

Really 4.5 stars: It has hints although the photos are too dark. The details are very well done, in fact the filter provides such a tight seal that it also makes it difficult to install AFTER you've attempted to cut an access hole. It's not difficult but very tiring as you have to get under the passenger side dash to cut the - apparently marked (the only place it belongs) - AC line. I used a Dremel type rotary cutting head, an oscillating tool with the blade set at a 90 degree angle rather than

Fits good. Very happy with the update.

This is a cabin air filter that should have been factory fitted. It fits well. I'm very disappointed in Cadillac for selling a hundred thousand dollar car without this air filter. You need to remove the plastic panel covering the hole where the filter is installed. It has already been counted. Use a razor blade and follow the marked lines until you cut through the coating. Remove cover. Use 120 grit sandpaper to remove rough edges and rough spots. Use a shop vacuum to clean the compartment with

  • Not the best

Great product but there are two tips that are not in the instructions.

First, the fact that this retrofit kit is even necessary for a cabin air filter on a $40,000 truck makes me reconsider buying a GM product in the future, but all automakers cut corners . I give GM 3 stars and this Dorman product 5 stars. The included installation guide was very detailed with pictures; However, I would recommend making 2 changes to the instructions provided. 1) There are 3 screws securing the skid plate under the dash, one of which is hidden behind the center console (another GM

I have a 2013 Tahoe that suffers from a horrible unpleasant air conditioning smell when it is first turned on. Countless times the seller contacted the dealer about a "workmanship price that didn't last long. I've now started using Kilma-Cleaner and accidentally came across this filter upgrade kit. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow, especially for someone mechanically inclined. It should also be an easy task for those who don't. After the installation was completed, the…
