Takes a lot for an old truck

Every time I hit bumps I heard a pop under my truck and knew it was time to put on shock absorbers. My old ones were so worn that I was able to compress them completely by hand. I've driven about 500 miles in the new ones and they make the back of my 06 foot Dodge Ram 1500 feel like new. Significantly better control at high speeds and in corners, especially when towing or towing!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great replacement OEM

Excellent dampers. My rear driver's side shock failed on my truck after I installed a 3" lifter. I was hesitant to order them because of the price, but I agreed. Got it and installed it over the weekend. They were about 1 inch longer than my stock shocks, but they fit perfectly. The ride is a little stiffer, but nothing too bad. I've been wearing them for about 4 weeks now and no problems with love. Excellent purchase.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Without automatic transmission

Great for towing, managing and loading stuff

I have a 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 with a towing capacity of over 8500lbs - but if you add the recommended 10-15% to the hitch it sits on the rear axle. So the rear springs on these trucks are way too soft. Install Monroe Coil Over Springs and they will finally do what the doc says. We're towing a 6000 pound trailer. The work is easy now, Hemi guides it easily. The ride is good, empty, I don't think the rear axle feels any different. It is highly recommended to unlock a full workshop slot from the…

Fit 03 Dodge Ram 1500 RWD

Fit 03 Dodge Ram 1500 RWD but it was a tight fit. It was also difficult to install, even when I completely lifted the truck off the ground on the hitch and let the tires sag. I still had to use a pry bar on a bottle jack to compress the shock enough to fit the bottom mount and it took a few tries. The impact is too strong to try to hand press (at least for me). When unloading, the rear end will definitely lift a couple of inches. It doesn't sag as much under load as it did before. The only…

Good shocks. on parts

I mounted them on a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. I'm towing a van and the truck no longer sags when I do that. The trailer weighs 6800 pounds. As far as towing-free riding goes, it's a bit stiffer, but nothing to snag on. It's a truck! They weren't too difficult to install. But it took some effort to swap them out since the screws were on the ram. Remember that they regulate themselves. If you connect to the trailer and don't see any changes, it's a scam. As soon as you start riding, the dampers adjust

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Long delivery time

FITS 06 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 5.7 Hemi Quad Cab

Installation didn't go bad. I used a jack to loosen the bottom mounting bolts. influence on others. (After WD-40 treatment). I had to lift the car off the leaf spring attachment point to allow enough clearance to insert through the mounting brackets. Just installed so not sure about durability. Going from stock shocks, which both killed us, to brand new upgraded coilovers should be a sure win. Especially for the price. My car is a 4x4, but I don't drive it off-road. It's set up like a camper…

Installed on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT HEMI

They fixed my rear wheel hop and stopped rear drag when towing an RV. Installation was easy and I find it best to jack up one side to remove/install the shock before doing the other side. For some reason, if you raise both sides at once (in jack stands), the wheels don't drop as much as if you only lifted one side at a time. As a result, you get about 2 inches less length needed for easy shock installation. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram and the driver's side is easy to install, but the top mounting…

The difference between day and night.

My 2006 Dodge 1500 was very stiff in the rear. When I changed the pads and rotors, I also replaced the shock absorbers with them. People said that they lifted trucks there, the miner stayed at the same height. Now it drives very quietly, I no longer feel every bump like I used to. The shocks I removed are a bit longer than these, since I have a lifter I honestly don't even consider it a rear lifter, it actually only raises the front. Looks like I still have storage blocks. Anyway I was worried…
