These things really stick!

I bought 2 of these, one for the old balancer and one for the new one. Make sure your balancer is clean and level before touching the balancer with it as it is very sticky! I was advised to apply a coat of clear coat to secure it, which I did. When I had to replace my balancer, the old one was still very well glued. I prepared the surface well with acetone and it stuck very well with no problems. With the time display, it is very easy to read.

Liked best so far in cases

The interface looks like it's easy to keep clean. Easy enough to install, cleaned a freshly painted harmonic balancer with rubbing alcohol (no, not whiskey, rubbing). "0" to find top dead center (see many youtube videos on how to do this, it's easy). The rebuilt engine has not run yet so I cannot vouch for how well it will hold up in service. Seen where someone has used clear coat for recent work I might do an extra hold attempt as I have spare bands to test how the bands hold up to the paint…

it is so nice at 12 or 36 degrees clear and without.

The secret for the successful use of these adhesive tapes. Purity. Wipe the damper with a rag. Then wipe with acetone or something similar. Do not use gasoline. Place the numbered tape on the edge of the damper closest to the fan. When you bend over a hot engine it's so nice to see 12 or 36 degrees clearly and without hesitation. It's just a great product. The kit includes belts of different sizes for different engines. former. outboard engine. Recommended for all do-it-yourselfers

Does a good job, good for timing parts

Don't guess how I was with my crappy stock timing gauge. it's almost impossible to set a total time of 36 degrees when the notch behind the water pump disappears, let alone when you try to advance the vacuum, woof. So you can see everything at least after the installation. As people have said, clean the area very well with solvent and even a wire brush, then take the ones you don't use and put them in their place as an exercise, take them off, apply the one needed and spray two coats. clear…

The best thing about this MSD tape is that you have a .

I read some reviews about it not sticking well. This also requires a clean, smooth surface. If it's not clean and smooth, forget it. I sanded my vibration damper and then painted it with a metal primer before gluing the timing tape on. The best thing about this MSD tape is that you have an accurate scale based on your shock diameter. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND using a piston stop at TDC to determine the EXACT and true TDC position. Stock marked shock absorbers are notoriously inaccurate. The marker…

Saves the day when you're stuck with scratched numbers.

Used with professional products 80009 7.5" Ford FE Harmonic Dampener on a 1963 Ford 427 FE. The time stamps were ground off the shock with the factory time gauge touching the shock and not over it before the decal was applied. to the 0* indicator and looked at it. Everything looked fine. After sticking the sticker, I could see that this sticker is good for timing 0-20* BTDC with no more than 1* spread. After that point the gauges start to deviate from the damper mark, at 60* it deviates a few…

Excellent Timing Bands Fits Replacement Parts

I've used them on two of my cars. In both cases, the TDC mark on the pulley was 2-4 degrees off, so I was able to correct that with tape. Also, I now have nice and sharp degree markers to help me set the time exactly where I want it. The clarity of the numbers and markings is excellent in the light of a xenon flash. When I first applied the tape I wasn't 100% happy with the position so I tried moving it but found that the very tacky adhesive got damaged when removing it. I used a second tape to

Everything looked fine After sticking the sticker I saw that this sticker is good for measuring 0-20* BTDC time with no more than 1* After that the readings start to deviate from the damper marks It differs by a few degrees at 60* but it's totally unnecessary for my application or pretty much any other application, good enough and…

Works and holds up well as long as you use common sense.

So the tape is excellent. For everyone who says it doesn't stick. You're probably expecting too much. A shiny and/or oily surface will prevent this tape from sticking. Therefore, if you decide to buy one, first clean the entire surface of the balancer with an evaporating solvent (brake cleaner, acetone, etc.). Then wipe off the paint. After applying the tape, apply three coats of clear, high-temp motor paint to it. It won't come off. I agree that if you have a typical aftermarket tab on an SBC,
