🌬️ Nordic Pure 20X20X1 Pleated Air Filter - Superior Filtration for Clean & Fresh Air Review

Very good filters at a great price. I change them every 2 months so with 6 packs I have a good year's supply. Someone asked about the strength of these filters, so I bent over some weights to find out. Almost no warping at 10lbs and maybe a quarter of an inch at 25 if the weight is placed in the center of the filter supported by the edges.

I have bought these filters several times and each time they came in the original Nordic Pure packaging. This time they came in a nondescript box with no labels. The filters are also arranged differently as I have shown in the photos (left filter is new with black writing, old filter on right with blue writing. Are these legitimate NP filters or are the unnamed filters sold as NP?

I specially ordered MERV 14 filters to protect my operation with a higher degree of filtration. This box of 6 filters arrived unlabeled. There is no indication of what MERV rating I received. I feel ripped off. They look slightly better than the FPR 7 (MERV 11) I used. But I have no idea what it is. Should I assume I have MERV14 and have good protection? No! The whole point of rating filters is that you KNOW what they are. Sending unmarked filters with no paperwork is unforgivable!

The price is great but yes, other reviews about the small size of these Nordic Pure filters are correct. The filters are slightly smaller than the competition I've used for years. It's not a big deal, but it does mean those filters in the vent rattle when the air conditioner fan turns on or off. I compare the size and fit with what I usually use. I usually use a Filtrete Allergen 1200 (MPR) filter. I immediately noticed that the Nordic Pure's construction is stronger, not as fragile as the Filtrete, but I don't see that as a big issue. I have a sizing problem, Nordic Pure 19.5 x 19.5, my oven is 20 x 20 x 1. Comparing these oven filters to the cost of other brands with similar characteristics they are a lot cheaper considering they can be had for $15 each and I'm tired of paying more $20 for allergen and pet dander filters that 3M has. While I don't know how well they work yet because we haven't run heat or air since we bought them, can I go 3 or more months before I have to replace them like I've always had to do with 3M filters when they were just acquired? a much greater value.
