Works on a Ford Coyote V-8

Bought this tool to install a harmonic balancer/crankshaft pulley on my 2011 Ford Mustang GT Coyote V-8. It did its job perfectly without removing the radiator fan or the shroud.

  • Confident
Cons
  • Empty

Good tool for the money

Purchased to install a harmonic balancer on an 03 Grand Cherokee 4.7. The fit and finish of the tool is good and it got the job done without weighing the tools down. There is nothing to complain about, the quality is at the price level or higher.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • May not fit everyone

Best long reach bolt set I have ever used

Best long reach bolt set I have ever used and I have had many brands over the years. For the price they are amazing. Overall I find them to be just as good as my snap on set, I just didn't need a long reach every day so saved some money. Very impressive.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not the best

Does not fit Foxbody 302 5.0L

Yes it was my fault but the packaging says it is a late model Ford. Compared to LMR which sells ARP Harmonic Bolt which shows as 5/8-18. which size is not included in this kit. So I went to Eastwood and bought the right kit. What should I do to start.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Expensive

Buy this, not what is in regular stores! That's the only thing that works!

I spent a lot of time and money on the wrong tools for this setup. I finally found this simple tool for my HEMI and it worked flawlessly! I will hang it on the wall in a glass case Thank you so much for a great set!

I had to modify it but it works

I'm a Ford technical dealer. I make other models as needed, which is why I bought this set. The Ford shaft wasn't long enough to fit a crankshaft pulley on this 3.5L Eco Boost. I cut the threads down to about 4-5 threads and it worked. I need to cut a few more to better cut into the crankshaft and run the pulley. Yesterday I used it for the first time and sealed the front timing case cover.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • weight

It compares well to Snap-on/Matco

I got this because I've done a lot of engine repairs BUT unfortunately I don't need it for the engines I'm currently working on. but i used it anyway. Depending on which crankshaft pulley is installed on the engine, the instructions will require you to install a tool by inserting a nut with a wrench to adjust the crankshaft pulley to 6.2L. Can't use the instructions to guide you, but you can screw in the tool handle enough to grab the threads, tighten the nut, and then turn the tool yourself…

Will not work on 2006 Town and Country 3.8

I purchased this installation tool and a Harmonic Balancer Puller from Revain to install a Marmonic Balancer on a 2006 Town and Country. 3.8L While Puller did an excellent job removing Balancer, the situation was different with this installer. Although the description of this installer says it works for Dodge and Chrysler, that hasn't happened to me. The screws included in this kit were too big for my screw pattern in my car and therefore I could not use this installer. to install the balancer…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

So far, so good. in Engine Parts

Only used once to install a balancer on a Ford 4.6 and it did the job perfectly. To be honest I've had no luck with tools from this brand in the past in terms of quality or durability so only time will tell if this tool will hold up. However, for this job it worked and got me out of a stalemate. As with any tool of this type that uses a bolt to install or remove a part, a good coat of wheel bearing grease on the threads will help prevent damage to the threads. I was going to use one of these…
