Ardor is version 2.0 of NXT, which is a Blockchain platform launched and developed in 2013 by Jelurida and was the first completely PoS, which ensures that its energy consumption is much lower than those using the PoW protocol such as Bitcoin.
Ardor was born out of the need to correct some problems that had been presented at the corporate, business and project level, such as the limitation in the speed experienced by transactions and to be able to scale to sustainable levels for high-level users, this is known as scalability. Another problem that existed at the time of the birth of Ardor, was the enormous amount of data that existed stored in the Blockchain so that the fees for carrying out transactions rose considerably. So, given these approaches, Ardor is born and implements a new architecture that comes to improve transactions on the Blockchain.
Ardor has a multi-chain architecture, that is, it has a main chain that is responsible for providing security to the entire network, which is known by the term "parent chain". Also in this architecture there are daughter chains where all the operation is hosted. These two architectures are separated so it gives much more flexibility and scalability than any other Blockchain that has only one token.
Ardor tokens, because they are separated into two chains, can be used both for transactions and for the payment of commissions. Thus these tokens are separated into two roles, which are user applications and security chains.
The main chain of Ardor is a decentralized public network, which has ARDR as its resident currency.
Ardor works in a simple way, the child chains delegate security to the parent chain and interconnect their transactions through the process called Bundling, which in turn is responsible for paying commissions on the native Ardor token.
Ardor has its own wallet that can be downloaded from the Jelurida platform, where you can deposit, transfer, trade or staking. It also has a mobile application, with the same functions and features of the wallet contained in the web platform.
The Ardor Token is hosted on most of the existing Exchange platforms at the moment and those with the highest market capitalization.
