Great Project.

Great Project.

Pros
  • Wow ! Best coin doge
Cons
  • I like Doge coin.

The best part of the coin though, is the community. The users of dogecoin are all around just great and friendly, and everyone is generally lighthearted and generous. The community also regularly organizes charity fundraisers, which is great!

Pros
  • Dogecoin deals with large numbers of coin that are lesser in value individually, making the currency more accessible with a low entry barrier and fit for carrying out smaller transactions.
Cons
  • Doge coin not widely accepted and less secure.

I’d say it’s a fairly normal cryptocurrency. It doesn’t have a lot of the functionality, like ethereum with it’s smart contracts, but transactions are fast and secure, so that’s really all you need. The price is also fairly stable, so that’s good too.

Pros
  • It uses scrypt technology as a proof-of-work scheme and Dogecoin has lower transaction fees.
Cons
  • Doge coin less stable and less mature.

Dogecoin is a great crypto. Even though others might disagree, i think i like the fairly low price. This way, to use things like dogetipbot, you don’t need to send decimal amounts of coins, and rather thousands of full coins instead. Obviously the price could be a bit higher, which would be quite good for people that are holding the coin.

Pros
  • It has a block time of 60 seconds that is much faster as compare to other cryptocurrencies and the difficulty retarget time is four hours.
Cons
  • Doge less secure.

Dogecoin is best and opensource cryptocurrency, dogecoin fees is too much low and transaction speed is high

Pros
  • Dogecoin is opensource cryptocurrency, dogecoin price is low so anyone can buy dogecoin as cheep and for some time and spend anyone because dogecoin fees are low and transaction have become very fast, the wallet is fast to create and install
Cons
  • Dogecoin does not have any whitepaper or dogecoin team is not giving too much updates dogecoin

Despite Dogecoin’s long-standing statue in the cryptocurrency space, there are more promising cryptocurrency projects out there whose coins have more potential to “moon” than Dogecoin. Hence, if you are going to purchase Dogecoin, in the hope that the Dogethereum Project will boost its price, it should be a rather small holding in your crypto asset portfolio.

Pros
  • Dogecoin is derived from Luckycoin which is built on the Litecoin code base. It makes use of the Scrypt algorithm in order to validate proof-of-work (PoW) protocol. It also inherited Luckycoin’ s random-sized block reward generating process. The latter feature has been patched in March 2014, mainly because the largest crypto multi pools were mostly solving blocks that offered the largest rewards. Consequently, regular miners were left out from solving blocks with higher rewards. In that same patch update, DigiShieldwas added. Developed by DigiByte’s team, this algorithm is responsible for re-targeting the coin’s difficulty between every block.
Cons
  • Time will tell regarding the future of Dogecoin. Even though it is a gimmicky cryptocurrency based on a meme, its novelty and playfulness is welcome in a world saturated with lazy imitators and malicious brand heists

Dogecoin is the most fun and friendly currency around. It’s ideal to start with and to learn the basics of crypto currencies. Dogecoin is even worth saving and performs much better compared to fiat money in points of value saving. See moonpledge.com for more infos

Pros
  • fast, easy, fun, friendly, low expansion/inflation of about 4.9% a year, traded with big volume on more than two exchanges, much friendly and helpful community, tipping culture alive, many charity projects, much price stable, moonpledge, 500 plus Dogecoin Core clients online
Cons
  • mining not profitable, android client start's to sync on January 2016 and takes a few hours to complete

All these things aside, the orignial idea was a joke. It was meant to be a funny thing that had a lot of inside references to cultuarlly relevant (at the time) things. For instance, the inspriation to have a coin supply of more than 100 billion came from a movie. As a general rule, I don’t usually recommend investing in something that is openly a joke.method. The community, not satisfied with the number of ways to spend its Doge, organized its efforts to build and promote <strong><a…

Pros
  • I also feel that it is a great tool for tipping, and for those who haven’t used cryptocurrencies before, it’s a great way to start experimenting. Dogecoin is very cheap – around $0.0009 at the time of this writing – so buying 1000 Dogecoin only costs about $1.
Cons
  • The continued inflation is not good from an investment standpoint. There is a high chance that you will not get good returns on your investment. The development community hasn’t done anything (except become philanthropists) for the past 2 years.

Dogecoin gets the lion’s share of altcoin-related press from the mainstream media, partly because the community frequently does newsworthy things, and partly because its own existence is a story in itself. Dogecoin’s absurdity and resilience get attention.

Pros
  • The thing about all these items is that they feed each other. Nearly every attribute listed here is a consequence of another, and a catalyst for another still. The humor drives the community, and the community drives adoption. The low initial value drives tipping, and tipping grows the community. It’s a multifaceted cycle that has proven to be self-sustaining and unshakable in the face of rather dramatic price corrections and internal drama. Dogecoin was, entirely by accident, designed to endure.
Cons
  • <h3><strong>Dogecoin is Inflationary</strong></h3> <p>Deflationary cryptocurrencies are designed to, once they are mined out, stop being a viable currency. In practice they are not currencies at all, but speculative investments. They exist to be hoarded and left to grow in value. Dogecoin, once it reaches its soft cap, will experience monetary inflation of five billion Doge per annum. Making sure that, once a currency’s potential value has been reached, a person’s holdings don’t necessarily increase in value gives people a reason to actually spend it, rather than just hoard it until the sun burns out. This is critical for a functioning currency.

Dogecoin has a strong community which is constantly growing, and is consistently near the top of the list for most valuable Cryptocurrencies.

Pros
  • Dogecoin is more approachable because of comic sans, dog, low value, friendly community
Cons
  • Doge less mature.

ackson Palmer, a member of Adobe Systems' marketing department in Sydney, was encouraged on Twitter by a student at Front Range Community College to make the idea a reality.Dogecoin quickly developed its own online community and reached a capitalization of US$60 million in January 2014. As Compare to other cryptocurrencies, It had a fast initial coin production schedule.

Pros
  • Dogecoin has lower value which helps in tipping and gaming currency.
Cons
  • Doge less stable.

Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange. However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term. It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance…

Pros
  • <h3><strong>Dogecoin has Minor, Practical Benefits</strong></h3> <p>Doge has exceptionally short block times and negligible transaction fees. Fast and cheap transactions are just what money needs, and their benefits to users need no explanation. But there’s also the nicety of Dogecoin’s massive supply. Dogecoin’s supply is such that any realistic level of success will still see the majority of transactions using whole numbers, as opposed to the nightmare of decimal places and zeroes that characterize the average Bitcoin transaction. These are small benefits, but they all further facilitate Doge’s use as currency proper.
Cons
  • Dogecoin future isn't bright, but I don't think it will die. Very big supply of coin one of main disadvantages of coin. Fact that Dogecoin was one of first popular altcoins helps to surive for this coin. Dogecoin peake was when Doge mene was very popular. Now meme is forgotten, coin also lost their positions. Now I think that Dogecoin now in similar situation like Dogecoin. I think any of these coin will die, but they will never come back to top positions.

Dogecoin was Introduced as a "joke currency" on 6 December 2013, Dogecoin was created by programmer Billy Markus from Portland, Oregon, who hoped to create a fun cryptocurrency that could reach a broader demographic than bitcoin.

Pros
  • Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency, think of it as "the internet currency. Dogecoin has lower transaction fees.
Cons
  • there are even places where you can spend doge.

Dogecoin is very popular with investors in the Asian markets, in countries like Korea, Japan, and even China. On the other hand, the long period of inactivity on the development side has left people wondering if Dogecoin will be useful at all in the future. The team behind the project says that an update for Dogecoin will likely come very soon; however, that remains to be seen.

Pros
  • Cheap - only so much coins (i counted 5 in total) in top 50 with such favorable whole unit price Fast - 1 minute block interval, 0-1 confirmation required for u Stable and reliable - based on Bitcoin, merged mining with Litecoin Famous Listed on a lot of exchanges Cute mascot Cheerful subreddit Promotes spending with ~5% annual inflation rate
Cons
  • Difficult to understand – Cryptocurrencies are relatively new and come with a learning curve. People end up investing without proper knowledge and lose money to something they did not learn about. Lack of knowledge – People are not aware of how to use cryptocurrency and hence open themselves to hacker. The technology is somewhat complex and therefore one needs to be mindful of it before investing.

Dogecoin is casual in its approach but is gaining wide acceptance for online transactions. It is a decentralized virtual currency and uses peer-to-peer technology to carry out its operations.

Pros
  • Dogecoin has faster confirmation times, it enables you to easily send money online.
Cons
  • mining is not profitable (PoW coin).

Dogecoin mining is dependent on the production of Litecoin Blocks, and it does not require any extra specialized mining hardware. Dogecoin is produced in an unlimited supply each time a LTC block is solved. In my opinion it is a pretty good project

Pros
  • Fast transactions, little/no transaction fee. People who want to transfer from one wallet to another will often use doge to save money. You heard me right people who use non-meme coins still use doge for other purposes. Doge is easily recognizable trademark and people love it. It has one of the best most friendly communities ever
Cons
  • i do think that the community is the greatest thing in dogecoin. But to be honest - it's the english speaking community, we don't have that in russian part of the web (runet how we call it). I do hope that this kind of friendly dogecoin community will be created in russian web.
