V-brakes or linear traction brakes are very annoying when leveling due to the many degrees of freedom and the tendency of the pads to twist when tightened. And then it's easy (for me) to forget which direction you should be converging. This will eliminate it. Simply align the tab with the top of the rim, rotate into position, press down on the pad and tighten the mounting bolt. Did! Brakes no longer squeak! I also don't know why so many people have installation problems. They worked great with my wheel and brake system.
