Bought for my son who is studying out of state and has a long drive home. Unfortunately, this purchase was prompted by the recent death of a neighbor whose car was stopped on the freeway and then hit by another car while waiting for help. They may not save your life, but I hope they give you a better chance. They are very heavy, which is good. In most cases, they should stand alone. It's easy to make up. We will buy another set for each of our cars.
