I have a 2014 FJ Cruiser with factory subwoofer. I was able to install this cargo grid but it took some work. If you read reviews online, half of the people will say this network works with the subwoofer and the other half will say it doesn't. Subwoofers vary by model year. I can't speak for other model years but this will work on a 2014 model. The instructions that came with this luggage net say nothing about a subwoofer. So it's not very helpful. Basically, I found instructions online to remove and disassemble the subwoofer. You will then see 2 cylindrical structures on the back that go into the car wall for assembly. I simply drape one end of the luggage net over the structure closest to the tailgate and put everything back. That's all. All in all, I'd say the whole thing takes about 30 minutes (or faster if you're feeling comfortable) with the right instructions and the right tool (like an 8" Philips screwdriver). Again, what I described above applies to the 2014 model. For other model years, some subwoofers come with built-in accessory straps, so installation will be slightly different.
