Close to factory but not close enough

The tread length is the same as the factory lugs on my VW but the bolt heads and ball seat are quite different, for interchangeability the torque I need to tighten the wheels I torqued them to 80lb/ft (same as the factory lugs) and they came off the wheel noticeably easier than the factory lugs I would recommend factory eyebolts.
