It works! Do not give up! Edited by

Fits my 2010 Ford Fusion SE which is notorious for constantly reminding you to check the fuel supply. Yes, you can reset the notification, but do it often enough and your car will proudly turn on the check engine light. Which, of course, leaves you wondering if the engine light is on due to fuel intake, or if there is some other, more serious issue. The vehicle was recalled due to this issue and serviced back in 2016 for the recall. Two years later, the message keeps coming back. After enough resets and a run, he let me know he wasn't happy with my first line of defense and stubbornly gave me a not-so-gentle warning to check my engine. After checking others online who are getting this warning after calling back and calling. Ford to let them know that I love the fact that my tablet remembers what I'm looking for and gives me little additions in the corner, top, left, etc. of my screen. One of those additions was for this gas cap. I installed it and nothing. Still giving me those annoying little "I know more than you" warnings. But these machines will be restarted. Since "okay, you won, but you're working for this moment" you have to drive the car about 100 miles before it gives up. One day you start your car, drive it and eventually you realize you're not. You don't have to press reset and the check engine light won't look at you anymore. O happy day! It works out. the car won't give up right away, but it will. By the way, Ford said he would record my call. But they've also set records for '70 Pintos, Explorer tire problems, shift slippage on my dad's station wagon, etc. I really don't expect them to do anything about it. throttle. I can't remember, but when your car got stuck in the middle of a freeway, the technicians know what to fix. Another perfect example of "We know about this, but until he kills enough people let's let him ride." Edit: Two weeks later I got an annoying little fuel check message. I don't blame the gas cap. It wasn't advertised to solve the cooling problem I bought it for. I blame Ford for not properly addressing the quality hardware issue. In fact, they put a band-aid on a real problem. This gas cap really fits and has solved the problem for many people. My next step is to buy a rubber grommet like others have done to see if it works. I will keep updating.
